Data Engineer
£50,000 - Dartford - Hybrid (3 days onsite)
We are partnering with a leading international technology organisation that develops innovative solutions used across commercial and industrial sectors worldwide. As part of continued investment in technology and data capabilities, the business is seeking a Data Engineer to join its internal IT team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data-focused professional to play a key role in developing and maintaining the organisation's Business Intelligence and data platform. You will be responsible for designing and optimising data pipelines, ensuring data quality and supporting the reporting and analytics capabilities that support business-critical decision-making.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will develop scalable data solutions and contribute to the ongoing transformation of the organisations data estate. This role would suit a Data Engineer who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle and thrives in a collaborative environment where data is central to operational success.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines and data integration solutions
* Create and optimise data models to support reporting, analytics and business performance measurement
* Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
* Ensure data integrity, governance and quality across the Business Intelligence environment
* Support the ongoing development and optimisation of the organisation's reporting and analytics platform
* Maintain technical documentation, processes and data architecture standards
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience working in a Data Engineer, BI Engineer or Data & Analytics role
* Strong experience designing and building data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics or Fabric
* Strong experience designing and supporting ETL processes and data pipelines
* Advanced SQL skills with experience in querying, transforming and manipulating large datasets
* Knowledge of Python for automation, data processing or analytics
* Strong understanding of data warehousing and reporting best practices
* Experience working with multiple data sources and business-critical systems
