GCP Cloud Architect (Remote based - Have to be based in Europe)

12 month freelancing project (The project itself is a 5 year project)



I'm currently working with a client of mine who is planning projects from when they return off vacation period and ideally need an GCP Cloud Architect to facilitate a new Google-Hybrid project they have starting from August. They're ideally looking for someone who comes from a development background.



Ideally, my client is looking for someone with in-depth knowledge with AI and Machine Learning, as well as being experienced on taking the lead with road mapping and scoping all the way through to hands on delivery of the solution.



Job Description:

- Experience working with GCP and Kubernetes.

- Good level of experience with GCP design and build experience.

- Confident communicator.

- Coming from a JavaScript Development background is preferred.

- Confident on road mapping/scoping skills.



This position is available on an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.

I'm currently working with a client that is looking to add multiple Front End Developer's to a new assignment that they have just secured. They're looking for someone to work very closely with the front end requirements within the new project.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Become a problem solver and help put forward new and creative ideas, regarding the ongoing projects.
* Develop a strong understanding of the systems my client use on a daily basis.
* Help design and implement solutions in a very fast, agile environment.

Jefferson Frank are currently working with one of Sweden's largest brands who have an exciting and lucrative 12-month contract opportunity for you, working within one of Sweden's biggest brands, as a remote freelance Cloud DevOps Engineer, with a focus on GCP.

Our goal right now is to create a talented team who are proficient in developing, building, deploying, operating and optimising cloud-based workloads - demonstrating hands-on coding skills, both Cloud Native as well as Multi- and Hybrid Cloud (full lifecycle experience / DevOps)

To be successful within this role you must acquire some of the following skills.

Skills and Experience:

* Software Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering and Event-Driven Architecture
* Docker and OpenShift
* Working with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
* Developing solutions using a combination of SpringBoot with Webflux (Java 11), Express (NodeJS), Python and ReactJS
* Monitoring & logging using GCP Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana
* Migration of selected on-prem workloads on VMware/RHEL to Cloud on GCP Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, OpenShift
* Experienced in event-based application integration using GCP Pub-Sub & Solace Event Mesh
* Certified in at least one Public Cloud, preferably GCP

The role:

They are looking for a Product Developer, not someone who just 'punches code in all day' they are looking for someone that has a passion for product development/someone who loves doing product development vs just coding.

Someone who is not picky or pragmatic when it comes to solutions is what they need and someone who can take responsibility for understanding why are they doing things, they are not working with Jira or any specifications/ requirements.

The development team are not an 'IT muscle', they are part of the business and solve problems together with the business.

They need for the developers to understand the challenge/have this kind of passion for understanding the problem.

Knowledge about craftmanship is also very important. For example when they are working with payment solutions they need to be 100% accurate and other areas they can get away with just being 80% accurate, so have a good understanding of the principle of good code, not everything needs to be 100% perfect!

They also need someone who is self-organized they are working in an autonomous team and working a lot together however they are expecting you to drive different parts and owning your space. Someone who is keen on solving things is essential, they work from the mock ups to running it live so if whether you prefer the frontend or the databases, you are more than just a standard developer and you have a hunger for learning!
