    AWS CLOUD PLATFORM ENGINEER - OUTSIDE IR35 - REMOTE - MARKET RATE

    Jefferson Frank are working in collaboration with an exciting consultancy that are working for a large Financial organisation who are growing rapidly, we are currently looking for multiple AWS Cloud Platform Engineers.

    As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building, testing, packaging, deploying and operating an enterprise scale cloud platform alongside shared platform tooling within the cloud. You will use your development skills to automate the build of infrastructure resources within AWS, along with the packaging of services into AMIs, Docker containers or Serverless deployments.

    Required Skills

    * Hands on experience of working with key AWS services

    * Building AWS resources using infrastructure as code using Terraform (or CloudFormation) and Packer

    * Building, deploying and operating Docker containers

    * A deep understanding and experience of building, testing, packaging, releasing, and deploying code and services within a team-based environment

    * Linux system administration, Experience with HarshiCorp

    * Great communication skills, with a willingness to be collaborative and pragmatic in nature

    * Technically inquisitive, with a genuine passion for keeping your skills and knowledge up to date with emerging industry trends, via conferences, meet-ups and self-motivated research



    Desired Skills

    * Hands on experience of working with key AWS security services

    * Knowledgeable about the key security risks that are present when using AWS and how these can be prevented, detected, and remediated

    * AWS associate, professional or speciality certification, or desire to obtain one within a short space of time

    * Hands on experience of using key Azure services

    * Delivering within an agile environment

    * Implementing and working with continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines

    * Development background, with experience in common programming languages e.g. Python

    * Kubernetes administration

    Cloud Architect - Up to £110k + Bonus

    FULLY REMOTE UK WIDE

    Due to continued success and growth, my client are expanding our development team and are now looking for a Cloud Architect. You will be working with architects, technologists, and development teams with the responsibility to ensure that our products and solutions integrate with clients. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will take a lead role working closely with Operations Engineering team to provide a world-class DevOps Environment capable of handling the anticipated development load.

    Responsibilities

    * Architect and provide technical direction for our approach for cloud/SaaS and on-premise products
    * Lead on the setting and enforcement of architecture standards and practices affecting development of all new products as well as impacting existing ones. Develop these standards in coordination with peers in other divisions.
    * Review and evaluate new and existing architecture and code to ensure it meets standards; or for existing products that they will operate within the overall cloud architecture.
    * Evangelize the cloud and microservice message and architecture within the development organization and to our field organizations, partners, and customers.
    * Research new technologies, including hands-on technical evaluation and POCs.
    * Create and maintain documentation.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    * Multiple years' experience designing and running production workloads in AWS.
    * Hands-on experience with core AWS services, including running containers on ECS and functions on Lambda.
    * Ability to design and build CI/CD pipelines with CodePipeline/Build/Deploy or Jenkins.
    * Experience running Linux and/or Windows environments.
    * Ability to design highly available and performant solutions in the AWS.
    * Working knowledge of database technologies.
    * Strong skills with scripting technologies, such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible.
    * Experience writing IasC with CloudFormation/Terraform.
    * Working knowledge of version control systems.
    * Experience with the AWS Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption frameworks.
    * Strong written and verbal communication skills directed at both technical and non-technical team members/clients.
    * Ability to identify priorities and plan effectively.
    * AWS knowledge and certifications: Solutions Architect, DevOps, Security, Network.
