Position: Firmware Engineering Team Lead (C/C++, Python, Java) - Salo/Helsinki

Remote Work: Yes, with a preference for the candidate to be present in Salo or Helsinki 2-3 times a week.

Salary: €5,500 - €6,000 per month Bonus: Additional bonus ranging between 6% - 10% Benefits: Standard Finnish benefits

Role and Responsibilities: We are in search of a highly motivated and seasoned Firmware Engineering Team Lead to join our client's team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in firmware engineering and proven leadership experience. Responsibilities include leading a team of firmware engineers in developing firmware for their products, ensuring high-quality results that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of firmware engineers in developing firmware for our products.
* Ensure the firmware meets high-quality standards and customer requirements.
* Collaborate with other teams to integrate firmware into our products.
* Develop and maintain firmware engineering processes and procedures.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the firmware engineering team.
* Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of firmware.
* Participate in the hiring process for new firmware engineers.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in firmware engineering.
* 2+ years of experience in a leadership role is strongly appreciated.
* Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Java.
* Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
* Experience with firmware development on a Linux platform.
* Experience with industrial protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC UA is advantageous.
* Experience with version control systems such as GIT and SVN.
* Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent communication in English and Finnish.
