About the role:

The client is in the gaming industry and in this role, you will provide leadership, management, consulting, and technical expertise while working closely with other senior leaders, change management, project managers and other subject matter experts to identify needs and deliver solutions that touch on all areas of the enterprise from human resources, legal, information security, finance, and various IT specialties to name a few. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a part in working with smart people to solve challenging problems that cover people, process, and technology.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for owning and driving the program and projects involving cross-divisional and cross-functional teams focused on delivery and results while meeting customers' expectations at a minimum.
* Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets.
* Monitor the program and projects from initiation through delivery, interfacing with appropriate teams on technical and business matters.
* Partner with resource managers to assign staff and monitor work, providing technical support and direction.
* Assist in the development of short, medium, and long-term plans and roadmaps to achieve strategic objectives.
* Regularly interacts with senior management and executives across areas communicating progress and ensuring objectives are met.
* Work with the change management team and area leaders to establish and strengthen relationships across divisions, promoting visibility, awareness and leveraging intellectual capital across the enterprise.
* Engage with customers, business partners, vendors, and consultants to ensure the efficient program execution.

Qualifications:

* 10+ years of excellent program management skills.
* Extensive experience leading programs and projects in the delivery of cloud solutions in an AWS and/or Azure environment.
* Prioritize the intake and manage the backlog of requests.
* Proficiency in Agile development methodology
* Experience in migrating projects in a cloud environment.
* Diverse background in cloud solutions, covering areas such as infrastructure migration, application migration, development life cycles, big data and analytics.
* Act as the technical interface between the partner teams and software development.
* Run in front of the software development team, helping define user stories, research appropriate technical solutions, and provide guidance to the team regarding architecture, design, and priorities.
* Translate feature requests into technical specifications and influence design and architectural decisions.
* Excellent time management, interpersonal, decision-making and organization skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation writing and delivery.
* Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred, with 10 years of experience.
* Jira confluence is a must.

This client is looking for an Engineering Manager to strengthen their current team!

This business delivers some of the world's top TV streaming services directly to consumers and partner with creators and distributors to enable them through every aspect of setting up their own OTT service.

By building a globally distributed video streaming platform, they protect generations of creativity to come through high quality, safe and legal distribution. The platform includes web apps, infrastructure, architecture, media services, operations, latency, reliability and so on.

Now they need to build software that will handle large loads while keeping low response times and correctness. My client wants their platform to be up for the challenges of the real. Their platform and services are in a state of continuous development and improvement and they want to keep it that way.

The Role

Here you'll be managing an engineering team of up to 8 people, taking on leadership responsibilities within your assigned area, including team delivery, productivity, quality and efficiency.

You'll also be

* Providing mentorship and regular feedback on performance to the team members.
* Proactively communicating about plans, milestones, progress and potential issues with stakeholders.
* Proactively addressing bottlenecks and obstacles encountered by the team in order to manage expectations regarding delivery and timelines.
* Identifying and applying best practices for the team's technical platform and direction.
* Understanding how the team's products and components fit into current and future customer value, workflows and offerings, from a technical and business perspective.
* Working effectively across documentation, testing, development and releasing software continuously.
* Continuing to be hands-on with programming and testing to develop and improve the distributed video streaming platform as part of the team.

Tech Stack: DevOps, AWS, Scala, Python, JavaScript, React.JS

Desired Profile

You should have:

* Background in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience
* Must have experience of successfully managing teams of 4+ employees in software product development, with at least 3 years experience
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Fluent English - Written and Spoken
* Swedish Work Permit/EU Citizenship

It would be nice if you had:

* Experience and strong interest in building a DevOps Culture
* Strong in distributed systems and service-oriented architecture for scalable web services
* Strong background with Cloud Native Software landscape & Amazon Web Services
* Strong background in Scala (functional programming) or Python
* Don't mind using JavaScript/CSS/HTML to deliver vertical sliced features
* Experience in SaaS and video streaming software development
* Know how to use analytics, how to read graphs, logs etc (so from tooling it can be Postman/Insomnia or similar, Kibana, Datadog/Grafana or similar, SQL)

This role will support a major Salesforce implementation project. The position will work with business stakeholders to ensure the prioritisation and implementation of changes for Salesforce and its applications and systems. The Project Manager is responsible for working with the delivery team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project implementation.

Responsibilities

Lead the successful implementation of large scale, enterprise Salesforce projects through effective scope, timeline and budget management

Develop, maintain and manage detailed project plans, RAID logs, and critical path items for all assigned initiatives

Manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile and Predictive Agile delivery methodologies

Required Experience:

Confident and thoughtful personality with the ability to adapt styles to multiple types of customers and personalities

Successful track record serving as the project manager for enterprise CRM implementation and technology initiatives

Agile project management experience (JIRA / Confluence)
*

Experienced in project methodologies and agile delivery
