Senior System Administrator (Cloud Infrastructure)

Our client is a global MNC with a highly sophisticated enterprise IT environment supporting regional and global business operations. They are looking for an experienced infrastructure professional to join their core technology team and take ownership of critical enterprise infrastructure platforms and large-scale IT operations.

This role is ideal for infrastructure engineers who enjoy working in complex enterprise environments with exposure to cloud technologies, automation, infrastructure architecture and high-availability systems.

Responsibilities

* Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure environments including servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
* Design and enhance infrastructure architecture to improve system stability, scalability, performance and overall operational efficiency.
* Administer and support core enterprise platforms including Windows/Linux servers, VMware/Hyper-V environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
* Perform infrastructure lifecycle management including patching, system upgrades, capacity planning, monitoring and continuous platform optimization.
* Lead troubleshooting for critical infrastructure incidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement long-term preventive solutions.
* Establish infrastructure standards, security hardening practices and ensure systems align with internal governance, security and compliance requirements.
* Drive automation and process improvement initiatives using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python or similar technologies to improve operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with internal technology teams, external vendors and project stakeholders while acting as a senior technical escalation point and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
* 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration or enterprise platform support
* Strong experience supporting medium to large enterprise IT environments
* Experience working within high-availability or mission-critical infrastructure environments is highly preferred
* Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration
* Experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
* Familiarity with enterprise storage systems, backup technologies and disaster recovery planning
* Good understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, firewall, VPN and enterprise connectivity
* Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure or AWS
* Exposure to hybrid cloud infrastructure environments or migration projects
* Relevant certifications such as VMware, Microsoft Azure, Cisco or ITIL certifications are advantageous
