Role & Responsibilities

* Provide quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Opti9 values* Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services
* Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional personnel

The Role:

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for making new business sales, prospecting organisations, working alongside the relevant Microsoft Account teams to establish new sales leads and developing sales through your own activity.

You will help customers with their digital transformations via Microsoft Azure services; whilst becoming a trusted adviser, rather than a salesperson.

Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining a long-term relationship and being accountable for the outcomes achieved within the established customer base. This is until the account is ready to hand over to an Account Manager, enabling the business development manager to remain focused on winning further new customers.



Your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

* Proactively engaging with new prospects to drive interest and pipeline for products and services
* Proactively working with relevant Microsoft Sales and Demand Generation teams to drive new leads
* Determining what customer's business requirements are and make recommendations for solutions to solve their challenges
* Approaching potential clients through new leads, cold calls, existing relationships, promotional events etc
* Nurturing customers, plus maintaining and expanding relationships with all clients within your portfolio
* Achieving set sales targets and complete activities in line with measures outlined in set KPIs
* Attending and presenting at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development

As a company going from strength to strength, they are searching for an Account Manager who will be responsible for winning new business with the AWS sales team, as well as, building and maintaining the relationships of existing customers.



The Role:

As an Account Manager you will be able to develop, grow and own the AWS business within your dedicated AWS SMB sales POD. Your sales focus will be on new customer acquisition, Cost and Technical optimisation services, AWS professional service projects, scale AWS migrations and ongoing managed services into C level customer contacts.

This role will give you the opportunity to articulate and present your go to market propositions and present solutions to C level contacts to new customers. The Account Manager would have direct face to face sales experience with credibility and gravitas to operate comfortably with senior level contacts particularly C-Level engagements.

During the day-to-day as Account Manager you will be managing sales engagements, forecasting, customer queries and ensuring customers are maximising their investment in AWS.



You will be reporting to our Commercial Director and take care of any additional responsibilities as directed by your Senior Manager.



Skills and Qualifications:

* 2 years IT Sales Experience at a re -seller or vendor preferred
* Strong New Business Skills/Telesales with ability to develop accounts through continual engagement
* A strong level of commercial awareness
* Understanding of Cloud, ideally AWS
* Strong presentation skills.



Qualities Required:

You must be engaging, bright and enthusiastic.

Ideally you would have a strong telesales background.
