AWS Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote or Hybrid

This is an amazing opportunity to work for a market-leading, rapidly expanding AWS cloud consulting firm which is looking to hire several experienced AWS DevOps Engineers. As an AWS Consulting Partner, the business provides consulting services and AWS cloud transformation across multiple sectors, from strategy and design through to implementation and training.

In this role, you will be a member of one of the DevOps implementation teams and will play a critical role in driving the architecture and implementation of AWS initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

* Design and build DevOps CI/CD pipelines
* Deploy and support large scale enterprise level serverless architectures
* Design and develop automation whenever the opportunity arises
* Writing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
* Setup of AWS environments including load-balancers, EC2 instances, and RDS databases
* Prepare system documentation and analysis
* Write SQL queries
* Create scripts using AWS APIs to configure the hosting environment.
* Perform Systems Administrator duties
* Build and deploy new versions of applications in the AWS hosting environment

The ideal candidate will possess:

* At least 3 years of AWS experience
* Experience in programming in Python, Java, NodeJS, Bash or Ruby
* Worked with Jenkins, Gitlab, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes
* Several years' experience working with AWS Services such as Lambda, EC2, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, API Gateway etc.
* Be able to define Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using JSON or YAML

Our client needs someone that can: come in and:

* Lead and motivate a team, conducting managerial responsibilities such as performance evaluation, employee selection, compensation, budget management, and resource planning
* Effectively interact and collaborate with technical teams, project sponsors, technical product managers, and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions
* Ensuring network reliability and availability through well-planned and implemented solutions and processes
* Review, define, and document processes and procedures for the teams



What are the requirements for a job like this? They are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience in a technology infrastructure role with prior experience with people management and/or 10+ years as a technical lead. Other requirements include:

* This client is a high-growth, up and coming, eCommerce platform that focuses on creating products that are good for people and good for the environment. You will be in a high impact role where your code matters and has direct impact on the end-user.
* The client is looking for a great Lead Engineer, Full stack with emphasis on the back end who can help build out their platform and lead a team.

Role & Responsibilities

* From ordering to customer accounts to product catalogs and pricing and commissions, you'll work across the sets of services and functionality we provide to customers.
* The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with our top-notch engineering team & product managers, and build great services and features for our customers, and then work with our highly-skilled engineers in both code reviews and architecture discussions to help drive forward a cohesive code base.
* Develop new backend functionality & components.
* Drive engineering efficiency improvements through build tooling, CI/CD pipeline improvements, architectural improvement, tech debt paydown, etc.

Skills & Qualifications

* 6+ years' experience building robust full stack functionality.
* 5+ Years of Experience in T-SQL.
* 2+ years leading teams/projects with iterative deliverables.
* Cloud experience (GCP or AWS).

* $165-175k base salary with 10% annual bonus based on company performance.
