Working in an agile environment and keeping up with the ever-evolving technical landscape the Senior Site Reliability Engineer is a lifelong learner and likes to think outside the box.

You will use your deep technical skills to enable your team to deliver operational excellence, ensure and improve reliability, performance, maintainability of systems and services

You will continuously improve CI/CD and automation maturity and efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

* Extensive experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment and defining, developing and rolling out technical operations processes and new services across teams and markets
* Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and in managing scaled cloud systems with a focus on solution architecture, the various tools and services, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps practices
* Strong experience with monitoring/observability solutions, preferably Datadog, as well as with incident response solutions, like PagerDuty
* Deep automation expertise, hands-on with some programming languages, e.g. NodeJS, Python or Bash scripting
* Ability to apply server operating system administrative knowledge, mostly Linux based Good knowledge of networking and security aspects
*

* Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI

The Role

We're on the lookout for a talented AWS Cloud Engineers who can use their initiative and drive to help us automate and improve the build, run, and change cycle our AWS Platform as well as integrate key control mechanisms and complex audit and security requirements. You will be involved in growing a team of experienced AWS engineers to deliver a high-quality AWS Platform (training available in this).

* Enthusiasm and initiative in embedding a DevOps mindset into ways of working, implementing automation, and tightening feedback loops both within the team and towards senior stakeholders.

* Strong systems administration background in Windows / Linux.
* Passion and experience in scripting using bash and/or PowerShell as well as Python and Groovy for Jenkins pipelines (Not all required).
* Proven hands-on experience of AWS. Certification is a bonus but not a requirement.
* Strong understanding of production scale multi-tiered systems architecture and service management principles.
* Knowledge of Git version control and management of multiple code streams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders at all levels, as well as strong technical documentation skills.

My client has an opening for a React Developer to join a fast-growing blockchain organisation specialising in the Defi space. They are transforming one of the UK's biggest industries.

The team is at the forefront of emerging tech and using the latest cutting-edge languages to innovate and build suite of products all utilising best practices in terms of product design and development.



Responsibilities

* You will come in and deliver high quality front end development for the platform
* Ensuring high performance and responsiveness from the front end
* You will work with user personas, employing were appropriate, rapid-prototyping, user journeys, and testing in both Lean and Agile approaches
* You'll have every opportunity to contribute to design discussions and technology choices across engineering, so input and influence will be enjoyed
* You'll have commercial React development experience and be used to ensuring high performance and responsiveness from the front end
* Any wider JavaScript knowledge, Meteor, Node.JS for example will be beneficial.
* Responsive design, CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS will be advantageous.
* Taking ownership of your testing and ideally writing unit tests with Jest will be a big plus.
