1 Well established investment banking company, you would be joining a specialist team that is purpose built for working on large complex projects within the company.

* The technology stack is fresh, modern and cutting edge. You would be utilising Kafka, Hadoop, Spring Boot and the latest versions of Java.



All client require a similar skill set but I would expect you to have:

* Commercial experience with Java / Spring.
* Database technology knowledge/experience (relational or NoSQL).

Job Overview:

The Data & Analytics Business Analyst is responsible for requirements gathering, technical investigation, testing, training, and post-deployment support. You will work alongside PMO, software developers, and end-users to design, develop, and deploy data-centric systems and applications in the cloud, all while learning and growing your skill set. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders across the business on writing user stories, helping with data mapping, and validating whether developed features and capabilities satisfy acceptance criteria and metric goals.



Responsibilities:

* Work with key stakeholders and end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements.
* Develop and own user stories and process flows to support the design and development of analytics and data integration solutions for our internal partners, and work collaboratively with other team members and Internal IT groups to ensure the solutions meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories
* Understand and rationalize broad business needs and work with key stakeholders to manage prioritization process and plan for effective delivery
* Work with stakeholders, end-users, and internal Engineering teams to do data analysis and mapping
* Demonstrate strong understanding of analytical/reporting capabilities and limitations and can clearly communicate those to internal partners.
* Identify and inventory process pain points and gaps in best practices.
* Interpret business strategy and technical roadmaps and develop high-level recommendations for solutions.
* Communicate status of requests to business stakeholders on a regular and frequent basis



Core Requirements:

* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Excel Reporting
* Previous experience working with analytics platforms and/or solutions
* Experience working with business and technology resources

Core Responsibilities:

* Lead a project effort, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
* Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and Engineering teams to meet expected customer service levels
* Design optimizations to meet the scalability and performance needs of the organization and actively and continually optimize cloud resources to ensure lowest cost while ensuring security, scalability, and high availability
* Perform hands-on activities involved in creating cloud infrastructure components, migrating from, or integrating with on-premises services, and developing self-service tooling and metrics to empower delivery teams' autonomy
* Support the DevOps organization in an advisory role to shepherd our development teams towards adoption of Operations infrastructure, tools, services and standards.
* Design, build, and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure
* Architect, design and oversee the implementation of enterprise monitoring across the full stack, including infrastructure and lead efforts to enhance existing monitoring and reliability metrics across our platform

Experience

* Linux and/or Unix administration, configuration, and in-depth troubleshooting
* Administering mission-critical and large-scale web application
* Experienced with AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, ECS, CloudWatch) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.
* Track record of successful implementation experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
* Strong system monitoring capabilities using AWS CloudWatch and DataDog or similar tools such as New Relic etc.
* Relational and non-relational clustered DB experience (PostgreSQL,MySQL,Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Mongo)
* Proficient with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, CloudFormation
* Very strong programming ability in at least one scripting or shell language, such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and/our the Bourne Again shell
