Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity available with one of our clients, a rapidly expanding SaaS company driven by data, boasting an impressive array of clients. We're in need of an experienced AWS DevOps engineer to help elevate their infrastructure, particularly focusing on early-stage architecture.

This is a pivotal moment to become part of the organisation, where the chosen candidate will significantly contribute to the advancement of both engineering and infrastructure departments. A solid foundation in infrastructure is a must for this role; we require a proactive engineer to collaborate closely with the CTO in designing, overseeing, and enhancing the current system.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Deploying, automating, managing, and maintaining cloud-based systems.
* Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability.
* Managing the creation, release, and configuration of systems.
* Troubleshooting and resolving issues across application domains and platforms.
* Ensuring top-notch system security.
* Collaborating with developers on current and new functionality to optimise AWS service utilisation.
* Provisioning single-tenant versions of infrastructure and assisting in specifying custom integrations.
* Implementing best practices to enhance organisational efficiency as a streamlined SaaS company.
* Advocating for architectural changes to maximise performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
* Some out-of-hours support may be necessary.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* DevOps; CI, CD, GitHub, Terraform, and Terraform Cloud
* Strong AWS experience and knowledge with Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, RDS, ECS Fargate, AWS Organisations, IAM, KMS, preferably with certification in these areas.
* A good knowledge of AWS best practices around multi-account / multi-region setups and experience in SaaS based products
* Docker
* Good networking and security understanding
* Coding experience (ideally Clojure or JS) with an interest in functional languages
* Production support

An advisory services organisation based in Yorkshire are looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the infrastructure & Cloud based platforms.

You can expect your day to day to involve:

I'm working with a dynamic SaaS software firm looking for a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer. In this role, you'll be pivotal in crafting and deploying innovative solutions to enhance the company's infrastructure and software development workflows. With nearly two decades of establishment, they specialise in Cloud-based InfoSec products, serving a clientele of over 500 globally.

As part of a small yet impactful Cloud Infrastructure team, you'll focus on fortifying the underlying infrastructure for their flagship SaaS products. While they've been leveraging AWS and Kubernetes for some time, there's still ample room for enhancing scalability, security, and automating processes.

This position is open to candidates across London. However, due to client requirements, SC level Security Clearance is a must. This criterion is applicable to UK citizens or those who have resided continuously in the UK for over 5 years.

To be considered, you should bring at least 3 years of DevOps experience with expertise in AWS and Kubernetes, along with a strong grasp of Cloud security principles.



Key experience should include:

Currently seeing a Senior Support Engineer.

Responsibilities:

* Learn and understand how their IAM products work, also on a technical level
* Analyze, reproduce and diagnose complex customer issues that may go beyond the scope of regular support. Perform root cause analysis.
* Deploy, upgrade, operate, monitor and decommission the IDaaS cloud services.
* Collaborate with members of product, engineering and sales teams to convey customer feedback, report product issues, contribute to product improvement and determine the best course of action to resolve the support requests
* Work on proactive measures to prevent future problems. Make small, required fixes (both code and documentation) in the products and/or cloud platform to make sure that the customer problems won't recur
* Communicate clearly and precisely with customers in written and verbal form
* Create and maintain detailed documentation, including FAQs, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides, to help both customers and the internal support team
* Productize IDaaS service delivery. Improve cloud offerings: High Availability and Resiliency, Efficiency, Observability, and Continuous Delivery as key focus areas
* Provide guidance and training to other team members including junior members of the technical support team, assisting in their professional development and helping them build their skills

Minimum requirements for this position include (Support requirements):

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and ability to handle challenging situations in a professional and operational manner (e.g. ITIL)
* 5+ years of experience troubleshooting software applications and related technology infrastructure, or equivalent
* 3+ years of experience providing direct support to external customers
* Extensive technical knowledge in the domain like
