Job description

We are looking to add another DevOps Engineer to our growing team in Oslo!

You will be based in a product team working closely alongside developers, infrastructure, and operations experts to continue to implement DevOps principles across the organisation

What can your role as a DevOps Engineer involve?

* Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
* Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
* Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimising the wastage.
* Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
* Working with technical architects selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
* Incidence management and root cause analysis
* Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)

We are looking for you to bring some of the following skills and experiences:

* Bachelors/Masters in an IT or Engineering related subject
* Excellent understanding of one or more programming/scripting languages
* Familiarity with Orchestration / Kubernetes
* Experience using Jenkins
* Automation/Monitoring tools like: Ansible, Packer, Zabbix etc.
* Experience working in the cloud

I'm partnered with a Swedish-based cloud provider that's giving the cloud giants a run for their money!

Already a leading market option for business-critical services with sensitive data, they're the first to launch a private Kubernetes (container as a service) and are partnered with the likes of HashiCorp.

After working with this company for many years I've seen them develop from a smaller team with a huge amount of ambition, to now working with some of the best engineers who have a passion for open source, sustainability and automation, and have now been named as "the preferred choice for organisations seeking a trustworthy cloud partner".

Right now they're building their Chapter team with a Senior SRE who will build and manage everything from hardware in the data centres, to the platforms and services. They're looking for an engineer in an SRE or similar role, with concrete knowledge in:

* Linux operating systems
* OpenStack, or other IaaS
* IaaC, ideally Terraform and/or Ansible would be ideal
* Monitoring, preferably Prometheus and ELK
* Python, or a similar programming language

Personality is key! The team are all highly responsible and positive engineers who are non-prestigious and love a challenge. You must also speak Swedish fluently.

Responsibilities:

Desired Experience:

* Experience creating Docker images, deploying with Kubernetes
* Knowledge of cloud security concepts

Who they are:

They are an AWS SaaS company based in the automotive industry, through harnessing AWS they provide a variety of products and software offerings to our customers, they work with the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, Nissan, Ford and many more!



The role:

As a DevOps Engineer you will be helping Terraform their entire environment and build scalable AWS Infrastructure. They're currently looking to migrate their ECS Clusters from EC2 to ECS Fargate deployments, so you'll be working closely with containers of which they use both ECS & EKS. This role works closely with their developers and architects, so they're looking for someone that's come from a Development background with a particular focus on Java.


Progression:

Working closely with our Principal Architect this role offers exposure into design and architecture long term, we also work with an AWS native stack so we offer the ability to be hands on in projects with the latest AWS Serverless technologies as well as new AWS services.
