    SENIOR GAME PROGRAMMER - FULLY REMOTE

    SALARY UP TO 65K DOE

My client is now recruiting for a Senior Game Programmer to join an ambitious and exciting team of developers to create a brand new cross platform IP, in partnership with a world renowned publisher.

    The ideal candidate must be someone who is passionate in their work and able to fit into the collaborative and relaxed culture of the organisation. Must be someone who is also ready to come on board as an experienced engineer to lead, coordinate and support the client engineering teams. You will play a pivotal role in the development process as well as the support process providing technical direction, planning and architecture to engineering teams in order to deliver a world class game play experience.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    * Professional experience leading, managing and developing large engineering teams
    * A strong understanding of common game/software development tools including Unity and Git
    * Proven track record of architecting and developing mobile games
    * Comprehensive understanding of game development on iOS and Android.
    * A broad knowledge base that allows for interaction and engagement on a range of topics including game play, graphics, networking, etc.
    * A proven ability to communicate with individuals and groups that are a mixture of technical and non-technical
    * Demonstrable experience in creating clear and understandable documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
    * To be able to provide constructive and helpful feedback
    * The ability to diligently and proactively operate on multiple fronts and at varying levels of detail. Balancing short term and long term goal

    Essentials

    * Extensive experience in the definition and development of large-scale security architecture solutions in a dynamic and fluid environment.
    * Knowledge of all areas of Cyber and Information Security, with expertise in Endpoint Protection, Cloud/Perimeter/Infrastructure Controls, Data Protection, Identity, and Access Management, Security Event Management, and Vulnerability Assessment.
    * Experience aligning application of security to controls based on security frameworks, i.e. NIST, ISO 27001, CIS.
    * Experience in designing innovative Cyber and Information Security technology systems.
    * Experience with e-commerce, financial, and high-volume online systems.
    * Active awareness of the attack landscape of the financial services

    Remote working is fine - in office for collaboration, WFH for day-to-day deliverables. You need to be commutable to the office for 2 days a week minimum so as long as you are fine to do that you can be as far away as you like.

    Role Core Objectives:

    * Take ownership of entire features and components of a games life cycle and lead the product design and code implementation.
    * Collaborate with the Team and/or Customers to deliver large features on time and to a professionally.
    * Be part of the development process and contribute equally with improvements and suggestions, driving the quality of the code throughout the entire cycle.
    * Mentor + help other developers in the team and help maintain code, product, and process quality.
    * Ensure schedules and goals meet business and project needs.
    * Conduct code reviews and be part of the hiring process for future colleagues.
    * Bring meaningful contributions and complementary skills to our projects and Team.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    * Plan, design and implement high-quality game features working as part of the wider team and in communication with our customers.
    * Transform design specification into functional game systems and use cases.
    * Communicate with clients to refine details and solve problems via shared chat, email and calls.
    * Create and iterate on prototypes showcasing new designs, interaction patterns, technology and tools.
    * Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
    * Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and games.
    * Identify process and application bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.

    Skills and Qualification Requirements

    * 3-5 years experience with Unity 3D/Content Development + Unreal Development experience is desirable.
    * Strong 3D math skills
    * Strong C# object-oriented programming and scripting language skills
    * Experience working with game assets (meshes, animations, materials etc)
    * Experience profiling and optimizing game and render performance (GPU and CPU)
    * Experience working with source control systems such as Git in a multi developer team environment.
    * Understanding of game Networking, Web requests and server/client interactions.

    Desried Qualifications:

    * Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or related.
    * Experience building Network multiplayer games or Online games + related..
    * Experience with Photon, Forge, Mirror or similar.
    * Experience with Game backend/server development or similar.
