    Technical Lead - Up to £90,000 - Hybrid - SC Cleared/Eligible

    You will be joining a leading digital transformation agency undergoing work/projects within varying sectors, including Financial, Commercial, Non-Profit & the Public Sector, hence the requirement for security clearance.

    The role in question is a Technical Lead where you're responsibilities will be split between the DevOps and Development teams, playing an integral role in orchestrating high availability infrastructure, automating the deployment processes and ensuring the highest level of application performance for a range of clients, communicating with stakeholders and customers/clients, all whilst collaborating extensively with the Development teams being a point of contact for technical leadership.

    This role will provide great autonomy and responsibility over the platform and migration of legacy applications to AWS.

    Experience Required:

    * Extensive experience with deploying PHP frameworks, Drupal being preferred.
    * Extensive experience providing Technical leadership, collaborating across multiple teams, i.e Platform & Development teams.
    * 3+ years experience with AWS and a range of services.
    * 3+ years experience with DevOps best practices,
    * Extensive IaC using Terraform and further Containers experience

    Salary is dependent on experience but looking to pay up to £90,000, commuting twice a week in central London office (close to Liverpool street station).

    This role will require yourself to be SC cleared or clearable

    Who we are:

    As an Advanced AWS Partner, our AWS certified Engineers and Solutions Architects work with customers to help design and build the optimum balance of scalability, security, availability and affordability for their AWS hosted platforms. We are an AWS accredited partner for Education customers, we also hold the Well-Architected Framework Certification.

    The role:

    As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be part of our Manage Services team, helping resolve complex issues including priority 1 outages and non-standard tickets. You'll be bringing AWS best practises to our clients infrastructure and identifying opportunities for improvements. You'll be working in Cloud Native environments and have exposure to projects with AWS Serverless.

    Progression:

    Within 2yrs of the role you can expect progression into a fully-fledged AWS architect and this role will provide a full training pathway for this as well as for all AWS certifications.

    Experience we are looking for:

    * Cloud technologies, AWS
    * Strong experience infrastructure as code, we use Cloudformation
    * Linux background/Sysadmin skillset
    * Any AWS certifications preferred.

    Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS), Hybrid, London, £70,000,£90,000

    Role Purpose

    This newly created role is to support a rapidly growing and well-supported Technology function. The key deliverables for this role will be to support the AWS-based teams to have infrastructure as code at the heart of everything they do and to help teams new to the AWS world to architect out what infrastructure they would require to fulfill their brief.

    This individual should have experience with CloudFormation, CICD, IaC, Kubernetes, and Hashicorp, and have a knack for streamlining CICD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a mix of knowledge, a strong potential for growth, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    As an advisor to the technology group, this role requires hands-on experience with AWS building workloads, architecture, and solution designing. The engineer should have a solid understanding of multi-cloud environments and CDK, as well as experience with DevOps principles and Agile methodologies. Python proficiency is a must.

    Requirements

    * Excellent understanding of AWS and other cloud technologies (Azure/GCP).

    * 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience.

    * Experience or knowledge of the well-architected framework, DevOps, agile development, and cloud design principles

    * Familiarity with deployment automation technologies (Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK, CircleCI, etc).

    * Strong appreciation of information security.

    * Proven experience implementing secure design principles

    * Understanding of networks and network security.

    * Proven problem-solving capability.

    * AWS certified or equivalent experience in a proven environment.

    * Quick learner and able to interact with various professionals, including Senior Management, Engineers and IT support.

    * Programming knowledge, preferably Python.

    * Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, threat modeling, and risk assessment.

    * Knowledge of Agile ways of working and adaptability to switch between different methods (scum/kanban), depending on the task assigned.
