    GCP Cloud Security Engineer

    Dublin (Hybrid)

    Jefferson Frank are partnered with a reputable capital management group looking to add to their cloud security team in Dublin.

    They are looking for a GCP Cloud Security expert with hands on experience with a wide range of tools, technology and methodologies. The role would be ideal for a Cloud Engineer well versed in GCP with proven understanding over building tools/processes to support their security programme in the cloud.

    Responsibilities:

    * Contribute to to group cloud strategy and cloud security.
    * Develop clear understanding of risks and threats to cloud infrastructures.
    * Security testing tasks within GCP platform
    * Build Identity Access management solutions along with configuration management and monitoring solutions within GCP.
    * Consult in security and cloud engineering support.
    * Architecture Assurance.
    * Maintain cloud built security infrastructure tools.
    * Liase with key stakeholders across the group and enforce cloud security policy across technology.

    Experience Required:

    * Over 5 years in a technical role, multiple years of Information Security experience.
    * Excellent understanding of GCP security and best practices.
    * Practical experience with Identity Access Management in GCP.
    * Strong Python experience/scripting experience.
    * Experience building monitoring and detection systems in GCP.
    * Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
    * UNIX, Networking, Storage, Databases
    * Information Security.

Their team are talented Database professionals looking after a sophisticated data estate supporting the hedgefunds core systems and products across a number Relational Database(s)/technologies.

    They are looking for deep knowledge and experience in Vertica, which is a large composition of their database estate. This includes advanced database objects, data administration, engineering experience, performance tuning and more, for example. Experience with Vertica is a necessity for this role.

    They are also looking for a seasoned background in other Relational Databases including MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL.

    This role is well suited to a Database Engineer with 5+ years of experience in the above looking to move into a technically adept team working in a challenging environment supporting a technology led hedge fund.

This in turn will enable their teams including Portfolio Management, Data Scientists and Developers scale their computing capabilities on premise and in the cloud platforms.



    Primary Responsibilities:

    * You will be operating in a customer focused HPC team working with the business and aligned to teams to design, develop, test and deploy High Performance Compute Infrastructure.
    * You will be comfortable building relationships with multiple internal stakeholders and delivering platform solutions to their needs (Including Quantitative, Engineers, Data Science etc)
    * Help the business drive adoption and subsequent HPC platform offering



    Experience Required:

    * Experience working on multi tenant compute environments/grid systems (consulting with business units to develop HPC Solutions etc)
    * Strong Python (or more) programming experience
    * Strong Systems experience (Linux)
    * Configuration Management and CI/CD

    Principal Responsibilities

    * Work with multiple users, command centres, data center teams to perform fixes including hardware
    * Firmware upgrades on multiple servers including HPE and Dell
    * Linux Server administration
    * Manage Linux users
    * Config management
    * Fix Linux server issues and OS
    * On call rotation

    Qualifications/Skills Required

    * 4+ years of strong linux systems administration. CentOS/RHEL desirable
