    DevOps Engineer - Up to £85,000 DOE - Cambridge

    This is an amazing opportunity to join the ranks as a DevOps engineer with an internationally recognised company that is at the forefront of technology innovation. You will be working closely with both IT operations and software delivery teams to ensure a successful release of the product that are up to organisational standards. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and motivated DevOps engineers that will further strengthen the company's reputation and add to their skill-set in the UK.

    Main Responsibilities

    This role focuses on delivering services that focus on simplicity, decoupling, testing, iteration and deployment with a strong emphasis on cloud provisioning and architecture. Furthermore, you will facilitate the general upkeep of critical services and be actively creating better ways of working by removing silos between traditional functional teams. Additionally, you will undertake system provisioning and automation as well as working alongside other engineers in the industry where you will provide the code, technical expertise and knowledge to deliver a smooth automated process throughout the project life cycle.

    What you'll bring

    * Strong Linux, scripting and automation experience
    * Experience of working with AWS/Azure in a commercial setting
    * Some containerisation experience working with Docker/Kubernetes/Docker swarm.
    * Reasonable fluency in at least one programming language
    * Experience working with configuration management tools and Code Pipelines
    * Excellent communication/ verbal skills
    * A good work ethic and an eagerness to learn

    They're looking for a project manager, ideally from a consulting or managed service providers background. You will have been involved in the full life-cycle of projects. Exposure to AWS is a huge bonus but not essential - you can pick it up on the job.

    Role & Responsibilities

    * Planning and resourcing cloud infrastructure and technology projects.
    * Managing virtual teams which may involve both customer staff and third parties and helping team members to prioritise and complete work to deadlines.
    * Creating and updating project documents / systems.
    * Communicating progress and building relationships with stakeholders at the customer.

    Skills & Qualifications

    * 3+ years of experience managing projects in an IT context.
    * Has either PRINCE2 or Agile Project Manager accreditation.

    Are you a Cloud operations Developer? If so, I am currently pairing up with a global software company based in the heart of Cambridge. With many year's experience in the software and data management sector, they are very much leading the way.

    Due to an exceptional year they are looking to further grow the Development team and are now recruiting for a Cloud Operations Developer. This position plays a vital part in their process with regards to maintaining the uptime and allowing the very best standardised practises.



    Main duties include:

    * Working with the development teams to advise and contribute towards improvements to security and operational stability
    * Continue to develop and improve DevOps processes
    * Maintain accurate and clear DevOps operational documentation.



    Essential requirements:

    * Strong experience within PowerShell
    * Hands-on in Azure administration, Azure APIs and tools or equivalent AWS.
    * 3+ years of experience in providing operational support/development of cloud solutions/platforms.
    * Previous experience within SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
    * Exceptional communication skills
    * Self-motivated problem solver
    * Previous development experience within .Net, C# or NodeJS
    * Hands on exposure working with framework ISO27001, 27017/18
