    What do I need to see?

    * Strong expertise in Scala is essential
    * Or a tech wizard in Java with 4 years commercial experience as a minimum. Spring & Hibernate too
    * Proven experience working to agile delivery
    * TDD & Unit testing would be really beneficial and would help beat your market competition.
    * Overall positive attitude and show genuine passion for the field
    * Knowledgeable on all SOLID principles
    * Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
    * Previous consultancy experience will be beneficial but by no means essential

    Due to continued success and growth, my client expanding their development team and are now looking for a Cloud Architect. You will be working with architects, technologists and development teams with the responsibility to ensure that products and solutions integrate with clients. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will take a lead role working closely with our Operations Engineering team to provide a world-class DevOps Environment capable of handling the anticipated development load.

    Qualifications

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Architect and provide technical direction for our approach for cloud/SaaS and on-premise products
    * Review and evaluate new and existing architecture and code to ensure it meets standards; or for existing products that they will operate within the overall cloud architecture.
    * Evangelize the cloud and microservice message and architecture within the development organization and to our field organizations, partners and customers
    * Lead on the setting and enforcement of architecture standards and practices affecting development of all new products as well as impacting existing ones. Develop these standards in coordination with peers in other divisions.
    * Research new technologies, including hands-on technical evaluation and POCs.

    AWS DevOps Engineer - £70-80k + Bonus & Benefits - Leeds (Hybrid)

    Overview:

    We have an exciting opportunity available with one of our clients, a rapidly expanding SaaS company driven by data, boasting an impressive array of clients. We're in need of an experienced AWS DevOps engineer to help elevate their infrastructure, particularly focusing on early-stage architecture.

    This is a pivotal moment to become part of the organisation, where the chosen candidate will significantly contribute to the advancement of both engineering and infrastructure departments. A solid foundation in infrastructure is a must for this role; we require a proactive engineer to collaborate closely with the CTO in designing, overseeing, and enhancing the current system.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    * Deploying, automating, managing, and maintaining cloud-based systems.
    * Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability.
    * Managing the creation, release, and configuration of systems.
    * Troubleshooting and resolving issues across application domains and platforms.
    * Ensuring top-notch system security.
    * Collaborating with developers on current and new functionality to optimise AWS service utilisation.
    * Provisioning single-tenant versions of infrastructure and assisting in specifying custom integrations.
    * Implementing best practices to enhance organisational efficiency as a streamlined SaaS company.
    * Advocating for architectural changes to maximise performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
    * Some out-of-hours support may be necessary.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    * DevOps; CI, CD, GitHub, Terraform, and Terraform Cloud
    * Strong AWS experience and knowledge with Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, RDS, ECS Fargate, AWS Organisations, IAM, KMS, preferably with certification in these areas.
    * A good knowledge of AWS best practices around multi-account / multi-region setups and experience in SaaS based products
    * Docker
    * Good networking and security understanding
    * Coding experience (ideally Clojure or JS) with an interest in functional languages
    * Production support

    Lead Cloud Engineer, £80,000, Leeds/Hybrid, New Role!

    An advisory services organisation based in Yorkshire are looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the infrastructure & Cloud based platforms.

    This is a company known to embrace individuality & actively strive for inclusive behaviours and actions both internally and across their work. In addition to a salary of c.£80,000 the successful applicant will also receive;

    You can expect your day to day to involve:

    It would be fantastic if you had;

    The role is predominantly remote but does require 20% office attendance in a highly commutable area of Leeds.
