Role Overview:

As a Lead Quality Engineer you will play a major role in leading and contributing to continuous investment and growth across my clients platforms. You will establish Gen AI Quality Engineering capabilities through your knowledge, experience and ability to lead. You will be tasked with designing and evaluating these solutions, as well as assessing, tweaking and perfecting such processes.

My client is seeking a talented and driven Data Analytics Developer to join our fast-paced and evolving data team. This is a reporting-first technical role, ideal for someone with a passion for building insightful dashboards, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and working at the forefront of cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-impact dashboards and reports using Power BI
*

Work closely with senior stakeholders across UK and US teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights
*

Collaborate with Data Engineers to support the ongoing enhancement of our cloud-native data platform
*

Perform data modelling to support accurate and scalable reporting
*

Assist in managing the Power BI environment, including DAX development and workspace administration
*

Contribute to ETL processes and data transformation workflows within the Azure Data Platform
*

Support the future transition to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and tools like Looker, gaining exposure to modern data technologies

Essential Experience:

Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard/report development and DAX

Solid experience in SQL / T-SQL for data extraction and transformation
*

Hands-on experience with Azure technologies (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.)
*

Data modelling experience (star/snowflake schemas, normalization, etc.)
*

Familiarity with ETL processes and working alongside Data Engineers
*

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*

Insurance industry experience (ideally Reinsurance)

Desirable Experience:

Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and tools like Looker, Domo, or Tableau

Lead Data Engineer - Snowflake, DBT, Airflow - London - Up to £100k

I'm working with a key client of ours here at TRG who are looking to grow out their Data & Analytics function. My client are globally renowned for being a leader within their relative field. This role is sat within the Data engineering team. Whilst this is a lead role, the expectation is that this is very much about leading from the front and being in the trenches of engineering & Development. This is a hands on role where the successful applicant will be building pipelines but also being heavily involved in designing architectures for an array of projects where greenfield snowflake implementations will be taking place.

Role & Responsibilities

* Manage data migrations and day-to-day data governance activities.Review technical work and provide training to Data Engineers, including mentoring and sharing technical expertise with more junior members of own team to build capability.
* Deliver change programmes, driven by business or IT projects, to support data transformation, data structures and metadata for both structured and unstructured data.
* Deliver projects and mentor juniors
* Working on a migration project next year

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience being a modern Data Engineer - end to end projects
* Good experience with Snowflake, building full solutions, ideally from scratch with security, and user access
* DBT/ general data modelling with dault vault experience being desirable
* Airflow and Python experience
* Proficient with AWS- Lambda, S3, SNS, CDK- DevOPs
* Need to be able to build, deploy and use Terraform
