This role sits within our current team alongside software engineering team, platform engineers & UI/UX designers. This is a Mid-level position, joining our team including a Test Lead, Senior Tester & Junior Automated Tester.

Senior Data Engineer | Databricks |

1 - 2 times in office per month, London

£70,000 PA

There is a performance based bonus of up to 8% but this is not guaranteed.

Senior Data Engineer: Python, Azure, Databricks, SQL

The primary focus of the role is Databricks Data Engineering. You will be building data pipelines using Databricks, coding using PySpark, and supporting internal applications as the client are moving away from a legacy application into new bespoke applications which rely on Databricks. Must Have:

Role & Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient databases to support the functionality and performance of their internal enterprise applications. You will collaborate closely with their development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal database performance.

You will help lead data strategy; aligned with organisational objectives, including data governance, data architecture, data quality management, and data integration initiatives.

Lead the ongoing development and support for data warehouse, customer data platform (CDP), and associated data pipelines using Matillion and Snowflake.

You will gather requirements from the Business Intelligence team and translate them into technical specifications that can be implemented by the software development team. This includes software requirements for data maintenance, and dashboard requirements for displaying of insights to relevant users.

Responsibilities will include:

* Contributing to the selection of the software development methods, tools and techniques.
