As a Senior Engineer, you will work as part of an agile development team, helping to build secure and resilient application infrastructure providing an outstanding experience for our customers and engineering teams.



What you'll do

* Design and build industry leading cloud-based infrastructure on AWS
* Using modern DevOps practices, create and manage secure, low maintenance environments in cloud
* Create and maintain development tools to enable effective and efficient CI/CD pipelines
* Help shape and grow cloud estate, with no legacy systems to support
* Automate and improve development and release process
* Support release and production environment where necessary
* Coach and support other team members in DevOps technology and procedures



What we are looking for

* Strong experience with Cloud infrastructure on AWS
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines such Bitbucket/AWS Code Pipelines
* Exposure to application development using TypeScript or Java
* Good understanding of Cloud design patterns and have used them solve to complex problems
* Experience in coaching and mentoring other members in the team

Job description

Senior DevOps Engineers are required for a UK IT services provider who are currently in the midst of doubling their DevOps team due to continued financial growth within the business. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will play an important role in building DevOps CI/CD platforms, and implementing coding framework in order to reinforce core products. You will be supporting the Solution Architect in the construction of platforms and frameworks related to DevOps culture.



Previous skill and experience:

* 3 or more years' experience in DevOps
* Background in Java, Powershell or Python
* Previous Terraform within Cloud Infrastructure
* Monitoring tools: Sumologic, Datadog, Zabbix, Nagios, New Relic.
* Deployment of AWS Load Balancers
* Deployment of Serverless applications
* Agile/SCRUM based development methodology
* Deep knowledge of TCP/IP
* Strong CI/CD experience: Jenkins/Bamboo/ CircleCI/ Code pipeline
* Excellent knowledge of Docker containers, Kubernetes, AWS ECS
* Excellent Linux experience, and experience in at least one of the following tools: Puppet, Chef or Ansible

Qualifications:

* BA(hons) - Computer Science/ OR other relevant qualifications

DevOps Engineer - Remote - up to £85,000!



We are looking for a self-motivated and innovative DevOps engineer that comes from a developer background and has extensive experience in cloud technologies. You would be joining a passionate team of engineers, pushing innovation through creating effective automated solutions in a rapidly growing business.



What you need:

* To have extensive experience setting up and configuring AWS services, inlcuding EC2, ECS, Route53, and CloudFront.
* To be able to create and configure CI/CD pipelines using CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Gitlab CI or Jenkins.
* Experience scripting (in Bash or Python), and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform or CloudFormation).
* Knowledge and experience provisioning of monitoring dashboards using tools such as Datadog, Splunk or Grafana.

You will take an active part in project design and build, supporting Developers and other members of the project teams and supporting the systems that these tools reside on.
