My client are one of the UK's leading cloud and secure managed hosting providers - supplying dedicated servers, private and public cloud hosting solutions, and a full range of technical, cybersecurity, and DevOps consulting services. They are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to drive them forward on their Public Cloud journey.

Reporting to the AWS Technical Director, your team will be critical to the success of their AWS evolution. Significant investment from leading private equity firm Inflexion is enabling them to rapidly advance their AWS offering, causing customer demand to soar. Although projects are diverse in length and scope, they are technically challenging, complex, and highly fulfilling.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn and progress quickly, collaborating with some of the most talented engineers in the Public Cloud/MSP industry.

Role & Responsibilities

* Develop a broad knowledge of how applications and services are constructed using services within the AWS Ecosystem
* Build and deploy projects from customers using best practices and internally designed solutions

* Conduct thorough product testing for new technologies

Skills & Qualifications

* A proven track record of delivering and supporting production systems at scale with AWS

* A good understanding of application, server, network security, and compliance requirements

Our client is a specialist provider of management and security services to a wide range of exclusive partners spanning across the globe. Due to a recent period of expansion they are now looking to build out their cloud services and is looking for a specialist to lead the charge.

Our client has some really ambitious and well backed growth plans over the next 18 months. They have an opportunity for somebody to be part of a dedicated team which develops and maintains shared cloud services for both internal and external deployment of cloud hosted solutions:

* Creation and development of Shared Cloud Services
* Create, develop and support complex network connectivity requirements (typically IPSec VPN's)
* Create, develop and support non standard cloud deployments
* Create, develop and support UK hosted infrastructure in Exchange Quay and UK Data Centre (whilst this exists)
* Create, develop and support strategic global infrastructure.

We are looking for people who are curious and fast learners with some knowledge of:

* AWS
* Hands on Linux experience (ideally Debian)
* Infrastructure and Configuration as code (e.g. Ansible. Cloudformation)

You'll really grab our attention if you have any of the following:

* Automation/CI-CD tools such as Jenkins

* Experience with building CI and deployment pipelines and hands-on knowledge of applicable tools chain such as Jenkins or similar
* Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g Terraform, Scalr, Ansible, Chef/Puppet).
* Experience in automation + one of scripting language such as Python.
