Job description

Platform Engineer, London, £80,000 - £90,000

Think about this - it's the beginning of the week in the morning and you are actually LOOKING FORWARD to the day. It's like having a long term vacation in which you actually do work but feel happy about it. I'm currently working alongside an organisation who value the wellbeing of others, who support their staff with flexible hours and who value their efforts by offering generous benefits and engaging working environments.

If this sounds like a morning that you would yourself like to wake up to then - Read on.

I'm looking for a driven individual to add value to this AWS cloud team. On a day to day basis you can expect to work with AWS, Docker/K8s, Terraform and Jenkins as well as provide consultation, design and technical support for the delivery of projects. You will act as somewhat of an expert in AWS tech and show collegiality by helping (or receive help) your colleagues.

In terms of the role responsibilities it would be beneficial to have experience with the following:

* Cloud (AWS)
* Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Operating Systems (Linux)
* IaC (Terraform)
* Scripting (Bash, Perl, Ruby, Python)
* Orchestration (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins)
* Serverless (Lambda)

This is a role which provides more of an entrepreneurial environment rather than a pyramidal structure. You can progress your own development in an autonomous environment, creating stretching objectives and seeking learning opportunities within the business and beyond.

This company operates on a "remote-first basis". This means candidates need to be willing to travel to the office when the client requires it, which is very seldom. Expect a team who values the individuals within and rewards that with opportunities to work mostly from home to maintain a healthy work-life balance and family needs.

If you believe this sounds like something you would be interested in discussing further then please, get in touch. You can give me a call at - 020 3826 6738 or at j.mardari@jeffersonfrank.com. Alternatively you can add me on LinkedIn and keep up to date with all we at Jefferson Frank have to offer - Julian Mardari.

Among other criteria we can discuss will be the renumeration package which ranges between £80,000 - £90,000 basic salary, a very generous company contributory pension scheme which is arguably the best I work with, an excellent holiday allocation and much more.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
