  • Skills: Linux, OpenStack, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, ELK, Monitoring, IaaC, IaaS, SRE, Infrastructure
  • Seniority: Mid-level

Job description

I'm partnered with a Swedish-based cloud provider that's giving the cloud giants a run for their money!

Already a leading market option for business-critical services with sensitive data, they're the first to launch a private Kubernetes (container as a service) and are partnered with the likes of HashiCorp.

After working with this company for many years I've seen them develop from a smaller team with a huge amount of ambition, to now working with some of the best engineers who have a passion for open source, sustainability and automation, and have now been named as "the preferred choice for organisations seeking a trustworthy cloud partner".

Right now they're building their Chapter team with a Senior SRE who will build and manage everything from hardware in the data centres, to the platforms and services. They're looking for an engineer in an SRE or similar role, with concrete knowledge in:

* Linux operating systems
* OpenStack, or other IaaS
* IaaC, ideally Terraform and/or Ansible would be ideal
* Monitoring, preferably Prometheus and ELK
* Python, or a similar programming language

Personality is key! The team are all highly responsible and positive engineers who are non-prestigious and love a challenge. You must also speak Swedish fluently.

The average tenure is over 4 years, which for a tech company speaks volumes as to how happy their employees are - they're constantly pushing the boundaries in this collaborative environment.

Key details:

→ Remote in Sweden with monthly meet-ups in the Stockholm office

→ Competitive package with options

→ Flat hierarchy with a fantastic leadership team who genuinely care

→ High degree of independence in your work and a creative space for ideas

Responsibilities:

* Design and plan for products and services in the platform based on business concept, customer's needs and objectives in a holistic perspective
* Continuously update and improve processes in order to streamline, avoiding complexity
* Work with IaaC
* Perform ongoing monitoring, automation and maintenance of existing platforms
* Continuously monitor, maintain and/or improve the security of the platforms
* Drive the work around solving technical incidents and problems
* Be heavily involved in new and upcoming open source and other cloud solutions and associated technical ecosystems (solutions, tools, methods, suppliers, etc.) and how maintenance and further development of these takes place
* Act as an ambassador for the platforms and solutions

There is a huge future here at this company if you're somebody who has built a foundation in cloud engineering and wants to take the next step.
