* Advocate of a fully automated environment with solid commercial experience in testing, working to a CI/CD, Devops culture.
* Sharp understanding of Microservices, Cloud orientated working

Senior Front End Developer ( React, Redux, AWS, Automation)

England, Greater Manchester, Manchester

  • 45000 to 57000 GBP
  • Developer Role
  • Skills: Javascript ES6, React, VueJS, Angular, REST, Ajax (XHR), Jasmine, Jest, Karma, Mocha, Chai, Enzyme, Nightwatch
  • Seniority: Senior

Job Description

Senior Front End Developer / up to £57,000 / Remote working / 10% Pension / Cloud centric / Modern tech campus / Bonus Scheme

Hello JavaScript enthusiasts! I have joined forces with my North West based financial powerhouse, who due to a surge in demand for their multichannel products require a new wave of skilled engineers to support this growth. To be transparent this role will be remotely based until 2021 until we are post pandemic where you can work from home 3 days a week then the rest will be in their newly kitted out hub in Manchester.

This is a Senior Front End position where you will be the driving force behind writing clean code using JavaScript in a fully automated cloud centric environment. CI/CD & Agile methodologies are important to my client in ensuring they deliver the best end products on the market. Frameworks such as React, Vue and Angular are used in house as are automation tools such as Jasmine, Jest and Cypress. I want to make clear they are consistent in seeking out new innovation to keep the business at the top of the game. Modern practice is key and there is lots of investment into this side of the business.

My clients ground breaking products are not only achieved as a result of the technology used, this is a result of the team. You will find yourself brushing shoulders ( not literally don't worry, you get your own desk ) with the best developers on the market which offers the chance to learn from the best and also the chance to support and mentor the slightly less experienced developers. You are not a lone ranger here, around 5-10 people will sit in this division and collaborative working is championed.

To become a member of this team I need you to have around 4 -6 years solid JavaScript experience where you have been writing clean well tested code on a day to day basis. Regular use of modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular is also needed for this role due to the complexity of the workload. The projects my client work on are large scale so any financial experience will benefit you here but by no means is a deal breaker. As mentioned the work is cloud centric so experience with AWS and automated processes is what is really going to set you apart from the competition.

If by this point you think you've got what it takes then you can reach out to me on the below or apply to the ad. I will be making a shortlist of the best front end advocates and sending them to my client by the end of the week, so don't be slow on this one.
