Front-end Developer - 45K - Fully remote

My client is an exciting internet service provider, specialising in supplying Ultrafast Broadband, Voice-over-IP (VOIP) and security solutions, predominantly in rural areas across Scotland and Northern England.

Who are they looking for?
They are continuing to grow rapidly and to support the next stage of their fibre expansion plans, requiring a Front-End Developer to enhance, manage and maintain their systems and applications.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design and influence an in-house workforce management system, enhance existing and new systems as well as develop ideas to maximise business efficiencies.
The Front-end Developer will uphold the highest levels of quality standards and strong communication skills will be essential to ensuring the successful launch of enhancements and new business systems. We're an outcomes based business focused on the Agile Business Development methodologies, so you'll be dependable and outcomes focused.
What will you be doing?
* Designing and documenting essential internal and customer-facing portals to maximise business efficiencies
* Ensuring our systems and applications are developed in line with our business requirements and outcomes
* Regularly update senior leadership on projects, owning and escalating issues which arise through to resolution.
* Creation of efficient and accurate detailed technical documentation.
* Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to system/application design, accurately reflecting these in final as-built documentation
* Continuous support and maintenance of systems
What qualifications/experience do they need?
* Proven, professional experience with Web development using ReactJS & next.js
* Hands on knowledge of MySQL databases or PostgresSQL
* Experience with Git, SVN and/or BitBucket
* Containerisation knowledge is desirable
* Knowledge of interacting with Restful APIs
* Working knowledge of public cloud services
* Working knowledge of Agile tooling, like JIRA and Confluence, would be advantageous
* Experience of GIS would be a bonus
* Familiarity of Google Workspace would be advantageous
* A strong desire to maintain a reliable IT infrastructure using documentation, careful planning and automation
* Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels
* Attention to detail and accuracy along with a positive and problem solving attitude
