About the Role:

What You'll Do:

Pipeline Engineering: Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows to support data needs across analytics, operations, and business functions.

What We're Looking For:

*

Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (advanced degrees welcomed).
*

Professional Experience: Solid background in data engineering across data ingestion, transformation, and storage layers.
*

Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL and experience with at least one core technology (e.g., Python, Scala, Spark, Snowflake, AWS, etc.).
*

Adaptability: Comfortable working in changing technical landscapes and open to evolving tools and priorities.
*

Data Architecture Knowledge: Deep understanding of database systems, data modeling practices, and cloud-based infrastructure.
*

Workflow Tools: Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or comparable systems.
*

Nice to Have: Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.

I'm working with a key client of ours here at TRG who are looking to grow out their Data & Analytics function. My client are globally renowned for being a leader within their relative field. This role is sat within the Data engineering team. Whilst this is a lead role, the expectation is that this is very much about leading from the front and being in the trenches of engineering & Development. This is a hands on role where the successful applicant will be building pipelines but also being heavily involved in designing architectures for an array of projects where greenfield snowflake implementations will be taking place.

This is a salaried position and depending on experience, it can pay up to £100k with some comprehensive benefits. This includes a bonus but also a pension scheme that pays up to 14%! As previously mentioned, they have great career development plans as well as access to industry leading training.

Role & Responsibilities

* Manage data migrations and day-to-day data governance activities.Review technical work and provide training to Data Engineers, including mentoring and sharing technical expertise with more junior members of own team to build capability.

* Deliver projects and mentor juniors

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience being a modern Data Engineer - end to end projects
* Good experience with Snowflake, building full solutions, ideally from scratch with security, and user access
* DBT/ general data modelling with dault vault experience being desirable

Data Engineer - Leeds - ADF - DWH - Up to £80k

I'm working with a multinational, award winning organisation that are looking to scale out their entire IT team. Over the last decade or so, my client have been recognised as the leaders within their relative. As a result of their successes, they've grown exponentially and ventured into new countries where they've followed their blue print of success.
This has meant that the business has looked to modernise their Systems to allow for such growth and one of the key modernisation's comes within their Data Platform.

The vacancy is for a experienced Data Engineer who will be setting foot into a greenfield site where they will be using the latest and greatest technologies. This involves the use of the Azure Data stack as well as also, a data platform build which includes Snowflake.
You will be migrating old data processes into the cloud and helping to build the new platform from scratch which means that you'll be working very closely with an expert team of Data professionals, ultimately developing a first in class data platform.

This is a salaried position which ranges from between £60k-£80k. You can expect a great benefits package but also, an environment that boasts collaborative working as well as the opportunity to develop yourself. You will be given the opportunity to attend industry events, Training programmes but also, paid for, relevant certifications.

* Strong background in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing

* Willingness to be in the office, ideally 4-5 days a week.
