Job Title: Cloud Architect (Azure)

Job Type: Contract to Hire (6-12 months) (C2C or W2)

Job Overview

The Cloud Architect is responsible for collaborating with the cloud team in the growth and development of the cloud technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of international initiatives in cloud computing and automation.

This is a hands on position where the Architect will be the subject matter expert on infrastructure, security, and development.


· Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features

· Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes

· Act as a Subject Matter Expert for cloud end-to-end architecture, including Azure, AWS and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management

· Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services

· Demonstrate deep understanding of Data Brick, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, and Private link

· Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks


· Experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations

· Experience with Azure enterprise implementations

· Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments

· Knowledge of all components of an technical architecture

· Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes

· Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Azure associate level certifications

· Citrix netscaler or cloud certifications

· MCSA Server cert

· MCTS Cert

· Intermediate knowledge of security concepts (firewalls, identity management, etc.)

· VMware experience (professional certification preferred)

· Strong knowledge of networking concepts

· Experience as a team lead preferred

Job Description:

I am working with a client who is looking for a Cloud Architect to help them migrate their production environment which is currently on-site to the cloud, preferably AWS. They are also looking to migrate their testing and development environment from rancher 1.6 to Kubernetes. This client is committed to investing into their employees so that our people have a healthy culture and the skills to thrive.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Ensuring the quality of the new production environment in terms of design, scalability, security and performance
* Ability to identify problems proactively and come-up with efficient solutions
* Is able to create a stable microservice architecture in Kubernetes in AWS
* Takes the lead in the project and is able to be hands on

Skills & Qualifications:

* Proficient with SQL databases and using Terraform and Jenkins to set up an infrastructure
* Proficient with Java applications
* Proficient in AWS services
* Has previous experience in cloud migration
