Job Description

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is a practitioner and an advocate of quality-focused site reliability practices, ensuring high quality of software products and services with an appropriate toolkit of technologies and methods and with a DevSecOps mindset. Working in an agile environment and keeping up with the ever-evolving technical landscape the Senior Site Reliability Engineer is a lifelong learner and likes to think outside the box.

you will be part of a cross-functional team or a practice team that enables site reliability engineering skills and capabilities across a whole domain.

You will use your deep technical skills to enable your team to deliver operational excellence, ensure and improve reliability, performance, maintainability of systems and services

You will continuously improve CI/CD and automation maturity and efficiency.

* Making sure the site in running all times

Skills & Qualifications

*

* Extensive experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment and defining, developing and rolling out technical operations processes and new services across teams and markets
* Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and in managing scaled cloud systems with a focus on solution architecture, the various tools and services, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps practices
* Strong experience with monitoring/observability solutions, preferably Datadog, as well as with incident response solutions, like PagerDuty
* Deep automation expertise, hands-on with some programming languages, e.g. NodeJS, Python or Bash scripting
* Ability to apply server operating system administrative knowledge, mostly Linux based Good knowledge of networking and security aspects
*

* Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI

* Passion and experience in scripting using bash and/or PowerShell as well as Python and Groovy for Jenkins pipelines (Not all required).
* Proven hands-on experience of AWS. Certification is a bonus but not a requirement.
* Strong understanding of production scale multi-tiered systems architecture and service management principles.
* Knowledge of Git version control and management of multiple code streams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders at all levels, as well as strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities as a Kafka Engineer:

As a Kafka Engineer, you will work with and lead from the front. You will be part of a large team that will interact daily with other developer teams, architects, and engineering teams along with other project staff that oversee the quality of work and aid the project to reach key milestones.

You will combine all your understanding of both development & engineering, coding, and consulting style to enable a positive impact on the project from day one.

Requirements



* Experience of Android development (Kotlin, Coroutines, Android SDK, RxJava)
