    This role provides technical support and advice to customers for both our customers and our operational workforce. This includes but is not limited to; monitoring and coordinating the resolution to network issues, network system administration, solving technical issues and documenting those fixes. You will also act as an escalation point or 1st line technical staff.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Solving and documenting technical incidents and problems related to company products and services
    * Acting as a lead within the direct customer support team
    * Provide support and leadership to all members of the operational workforce
    * Regularly update senior leadership on current incident and problem workload, owning and escalating faults to resolution
    * Liaison with internal and external users, ensuring that incidents and problems are fully understood across a variety of stakeholders
    * Highlight and escalate major outages to ensure key decisions are made swiftly and decisively
    * Network configuration and support across the estate, backup management, config management, systems administration and related tasks
    * Provide a point of escalation and leadership for 1st line Technical Support

    What experience is critical for this role:

    * Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server platforms
    * Knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP, Ethernet, Routing, Switching, Firewalls and Telephone Switching
    * Hands on experience in Switching, routing and firewalling in a multi-vendor environment, including but not exclusive to Cisco and MicroTik
    * Troubleshooting and solving end user / client issues
    * Awareness and understanding of health and safety procedures for working in the UK
    * JNCIA / CCNA Certified or equivalent experience.

    Essential Experience:

    * Proven AWS design, implementation and support experience
    * Excellent document production skills - design documents and architecture diagrams
    * Ability to present work directly to clients
    * Background in application development and experience in at least one high level programming language (ideally Java, Python or Node JS).
    * Strong Agile experience.

    * In depth knowledge in: AWS network services (AWS VPC, Subnetting, Security Groups, and Routing)
    * o AWS core services (EC2, RDS, S3, and ElastiCache)
    * o AWS serverless services (Lambda, API GW, SNS, SQS, and Dynamo DB)
    * Ability to create high quality Cloud Formation or Teraform scripts, proven ability to use the AWS CL and GIT/SVN.

    * AWS Solution Architect, Associate Certification or at least 3 years' experience of AWS.



    Desirable requirements:

    * AWS Solution Architect, Professional Certification and/or AWS Developer, Associate Certification
    * Knowledge and understanding of the Well Architected Framework including the Serverless Lens
    * Lead the design and implementation of Step Functions.
    * Understanding or some exposure to Data Lakes and Data Engineering with knowledge of AWS data lake services (Glue, Glue Catelog, RedShift, Athena, Kinesis).
    * Developed solutions using AWS SAM or the Serverless Framework and defined APIs in Swagger.
    * Understanding of continuous integration and delivery, with implementation in AWS Code* or Jenkins.
    * Skill and experience flexibility over a narrow but deep specialism
    * Evidence of cross-vendor work as opposed to a candidate who wants to remain skilled in a single vendor's technologies
    * Evidence of continual learning and attacking new domains
    * Willingness to travel, on average 1 day per week

    Role Spec:

    Our client are looking to onboard a Cloud Engineer ASAP to join thier Platform team to provide support for building new features on GCP platform deployed using Jenkins and Terraform. The role will offer an opportunity to join a long term project with the requirement of being on site in their London office once a week with travel fully covered.

    They are looking for someone with the following experience:



    * · Commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer
    * · 3 year's experience working with either GCP or Azure and certified at associate level
    * · Building deployment pipelines with Jenkins and Spinnaker
    * · Extensive experience with CI/CD tools and different automation technologies (e.g.Jenkins, spinnaker. git actions)
    * · Containerisation experience working with Kubernetes and Docker
    * · Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform)
    * · Experience with implementing service mesh (e.g. Istio)
    * · Experience with code quality and Security tooling (e.g Aqua Sec, Vault)
    * · Experience with relational databases and No-SQL databases.
    * · Documentation and Agile working (e.g. use of Jira and Confluence)
