    Role Purpose:

    Key Responsibilities

    * Provide technical leadership to a team of 3 specialists across data engineering, automation, and systems development.​
    * Define and maintain a fit-for-purpose internal data and systems architecture, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.​
    * Lead the design and delivery of complex engineering solutions, setting technical direction and ensuring best practices.​
    * Develop and execute complex data engineering, development and technical change where required.​
    * Collaborate with the team to ensure cohesive and maintainable system design and integration.​
    * Guide team members in aligning their work to approved and prioritised initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.​
    * Act as a motivational and developmental force, helping to grow the team's skills, confidence, and performance.​
    * Work closely with IT Operations, business stakeholders, and the broader Data & Innovation team to deliver impactful solutions.



    Skills and Experience

    * Significant experience in data engineering and system development,​ in particular Databricks, Microsoft technologies (Azure, Power Platform, M365) and integrations.
    * Experience working with a broad range of SaaS applications such as Workday and Monday.com desirable.
    * Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, ideally in a small, agile
    * Comfortable delivering and supporting through hands on technical execution, as well as strategic planning and leadership.​
    * Strong understanding of data integration, automation, and system design.​
    * Excellent communication, stakeholder and team engagement skills.​

    * Strong background in modern deep learning techniques, LLMs, and data-intensive applications.
