Job Overview

We are looking for experienced Full-Stack Software Engineers who are fluent with both the back-end (C#) and front-end environments (React.js) to work as part of a highly skilled team to create compelling business applications that our customers fall in love with.

Experience & Attributes Required

* At least 3 years experience with C# (our back-end development environment)
* At least 2 years of experience with React.js (our front-end framework)
* BSc Computer Science (or equivalent)

Desired

* Experience in developing on AWS, ideally using core AWS components such as Cognito, Fargate, Lambda, and other AWS components would be of value.

About you

The ideal candidate for this position will have:



* 3+ years' experience in a similar role.



* Advanced knowledge of SQL is essential.



* High proficiency in Python.



* Significant experience of working with cloud-based data infrastructure, such as Snowflake, Redshift and Databricks.



* Experience of working with a range of ETL/ELT tools within a modern data stack, as well as Apache Airflow.



* Experience of extracting data through API calls.



* High level of pride in the quality of their code and documentation.



* Desire to take on and solve complex problems, and to decipher solutions into tasks that can be managed within an Agile development framework.



* Highly proactive nature, taking immediate steps to communicate issues and find solutions, as they arise.



* Familiar with data regulations, including GDPR and the Data Protection Act (2018).



The successful candidate will have experience of taking the lead in designing, building and managing scalable solutions within a modern data stack. They will also relish working within a fast-paced, rapidly changing start-up environment, and love helping others to leverage data as they strive towards their goals. While the scope and focus of this role may change as we grow, your key responsibilities will include:

* Immerse yourself in our data and work collaboratively with our Data Analyst, Data Scientist and ProdEng Team as you grow your understanding of the data we capture and how we're currently using it.



* Spend time with key leaders around the business to understand their data requirements and develop best in class solutions.



* Take ownership of our existing data infrastructure and pipelines, including PostgreSQL DB and Apache Airflow workflow management platform.



* Integrate new data from our Snappy and Hungrrr production DBs as new features are released, and from other systems and external sources as new requirements arise.



* Recommend new tooling that is scalable and that will enable us to next-level the analysis prepared by the data team.



* Build and maintain data pipelines to process diverse data sets at scale and with low latency.



* Explore ways to measure and improve data quality, and to identify fraud patterns within our data.



* Create and maintain technical documentation of data flows and data structures within the analytics data stack.



* Ensure reliability and security, including implementing GDPR policies.



* Share your knowledge and expertise with others to help increase data literacy around the business.

Overview:

The Infrastructure Architect role bridges the gap between the Solution Architect, development team, business team and project management. The Infrastructure Architect role will define, validate and promote the right Infrastructure for a bid, a deal or a project.

Specifically the Infrastructure Architect is able to build logical models of networks, infrastructure components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of infrastructure architectures in specific business or functional areas. These models will reflect the Infrastructure architecture views and can be mapped to the solution architecture. The Infrastructure Architect produces detailed component specifications and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.

The Infrastructure Architect defines, validates and promotes the good infrastructure Infrastructure for a bid, a deal or a project (in a project scope / a dedicated scope within a programme) within our team and to the customer.

The Infrastructure Architect assists in the preparation of technical plans, change governance and estimation from many sources to support the full project lifecycle.

Requirements:

* Ability to to write and communicate on proposals at an architectural level.
* Ability to present Infrastructure solutions to clients.
* Ability to review technical designs to ensure that the requirements are met.
* Ability to share knowledge at an architect level.

Cloud Architect - Up to £110k + Bonus

FULLY REMOTE UK WIDE

Due to continued success and growth, my client are expanding our development team and are now looking for a Cloud Architect. You will be working with architects, technologists, and development teams with the responsibility to ensure that our products and solutions integrate with clients. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will take a lead role working closely with Operations Engineering team to provide a world-class DevOps Environment capable of handling the anticipated development load.

Responsibilities

* Architect and provide technical direction for our approach for cloud/SaaS and on-premise products
* Lead on the setting and enforcement of architecture standards and practices affecting development of all new products as well as impacting existing ones. Develop these standards in coordination with peers in other divisions.
* Review and evaluate new and existing architecture and code to ensure it meets standards; or for existing products that they will operate within the overall cloud architecture.
* Evangelize the cloud and microservice message and architecture within the development organization and to our field organizations, partners, and customers.
* Research new technologies, including hands-on technical evaluation and POCs.
* Create and maintain documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Multiple years' experience designing and running production workloads in AWS.
* Hands-on experience with core AWS services, including running containers on ECS and functions on Lambda.
* Ability to design and build CI/CD pipelines with CodePipeline/Build/Deploy or Jenkins.
* Experience running Linux and/or Windows environments.
* Ability to design highly available and performant solutions in the AWS.
* Working knowledge of database technologies.
* Strong skills with scripting technologies, such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible.
* Experience writing IasC with CloudFormation/Terraform.
* Working knowledge of version control systems.
* Experience with the AWS Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption frameworks.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills directed at both technical and non-technical team members/clients.
* Ability to identify priorities and plan effectively.
* AWS knowledge and certifications: Solutions Architect, DevOps, Security, Network.
