Senior Android Developer - Up to £75,000

FULLY REMOTE UK WIDE

The Senior Android Developer will support the development and maintenance of a full range of high-quality mobile applications. As well as acting as an Android SME to the wider business, they will act as a technical escalation point for the wider Android team.

Experience and skills

* Proven experience as an Android developer with strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
* Excellent working knowledge of appropriate coding languages including Java and Kotlin (although Python, C#, C++, etc. are also useful)
* Experience of Android SDK's
* Knowledge of suitable frameworks which can include RX Java, Butterknife, RetroFit or Co-Op Routing
* Experience working within Scrum/Agile environment(s)

Staying up to date is vital for them so you can find yourself working with the most modern technologies using best practice. You will get the chance to utilise the latest versions of Java, Scala, work with microservices, cross-train into different tech and always follow best practice such as TDD / Unit Testing / CI/CD

They have grown by 48% too in the last 2 years so there's not much holding them back!

What do I need to see?

* Strong expertise in Scala is essential
* Or a tech wizard in Java with 4 years commercial experience as a minimum. Spring & Hibernate too
* Proven experience working to agile delivery
* TDD & Unit testing would be really beneficial and would help beat your market competition.
* Overall positive attitude and show genuine passion for the field
* Knowledgeable on all SOLID principles
* Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP)
* Previous consultancy experience will be beneficial but by no means essential

* 4+ Years' experience as a PHP Developer in similar role.

Fully Remote - UK Wide

£50-60K Base

Who we are:

As an Advanced AWS Partner, our AWS certified Engineers and Solutions Architects work with customers to help design and build the optimum balance of scalability, security, availability and affordability for their AWS hosted platforms. We are an AWS accredited partner for Education customers, we also hold the Well-Architected Framework Certification.

The role:

As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be part of our Manage Services team, helping resolve complex issues including priority 1 outages and non-standard tickets. You'll be bringing AWS best practises to our clients infrastructure and identifying opportunities for improvements. You'll be working in Cloud Native environments and have exposure to projects with AWS Serverless.

Progression:

Within 2yrs of the role you can expect progression into a fully-fledged AWS architect and this role will provide a full training pathway for this as well as for all AWS certifications.

Experience we are looking for:

* Cloud technologies, AWS
* Strong experience infrastructure as code, we use Cloudformation
* Linux background/Sysadmin skillset
* Any AWS certifications preferred.

AWS Data Engineer - London - 2-3 days a week in office

Jefferson Frank have been enlisted to represent a leader in the global events space who are building out their AWS Data Platform Capabilities, as such are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join their ranks.

Role & Responsibilities

* Design and Maintenance of data pipelines, integrating from numerous internal and external sources into data warehouse
* Help analylse, re-architect and replatform existing data platforms to new centralised data platform on AWS
* Help develop software componens in Pyspark/Python that interact with AWS
* Identofy data quality issues in data warehouse

Skills & Qualifications

* Python/Spark
* 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer
* 2+ years experience in AWS, namely AWS Glue which is a necessity



Salary is £65k + benefits available on request, no sponsorship is available. Candidates must be in the UK.
