Position Overview: We are currently seeking a full-time Applications Support Specialist to join our client's Technology department in Yorktown, Virginia. The Applications Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing core integrated applications, ensuring they are up-to-date and highly available. As a key member of the IT team, you will also act as the project manager for software deployment, collaborating closely with the Manager of Enterprise Applications and Manager of Enterprise Infrastructure to successfully complete projects for their business units.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as a technical liaison between IT and business units, translating business requirements into actionable project plans for software deployments.
* Manage multiple IT software projects concurrently, ensuring the involvement of the right technology resources and business owners.
* Assist the Service Desk in handling escalations of application issues requiring third-party vendor support, with a focus on enhancing ongoing support capabilities.
* Identify opportunities to enhance processes and services through the adoption of new products and technologies.
* Complete upgrades of all line-of-business applications, collaborating with business units to leverage existing and future applications for improved business processes.
* Provide project management services for IT projects, specifically those involving core integration and engagement with business units.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Preference for experience with the DNA Core Banking platform in a datacenter environment.
* Education: A two-year college degree, completion of specialized certifications, licensing, or job-specific training courses.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to client needs. Ability to learn quickly in a self-directed environment with minimal supervision. Effective management and prioritization of multiple projects.
* Other Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office application support. Experience supporting Windows Server. Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote desktop/assistance technologies.
Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting/carrying of 50 pounds. Visual acuity, speech, and hearing abilities. Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary for operating a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. May involve sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling.
