    Data Engineer - AWS/Python - Kent - Up to £75,000


    A leading organisation are looking for highly skilled Data Engineers to join them work in an agile environment, on a new green field project. You'll be guiding the design and development of their new data and analytics platform, hosted on AWS cloud. This project has a data-ops feel with the use of some CI/CD and dev-ops tools.



    You will be working alongside data engineers, analysts and other software professionals. This company encourage employees to develop and progress, giving access to training, online courses and building relationships in a supportive working culture. This role will give you the opportunity to work on a start-up mentality project, with the security of an financially stable organisation.

    This is a salaried position paying up to £75,000. You will start the role working remotely due to the current circumstances, however you will be office based thereafter with an option of flexible working hours. This role is based in Bromley, with a direct link that takes roughly 20 minutes from London Victoria station.



    Role & Responsibilities:
    - Designing & developing a new analytical platform hosted on AWS.
    - Building and maintaining data pipelines & supporting ETL.
    - Storing high scale data on a mixture of SQL and No SQL databases.
    - Liaising with stakeholders to solve business problems.
    - Working in a fast paced culture, using knowledge and experience to move the project forward.





    Experience:
    - Solid experience working with a cloud platform AWS/GCP/Azure
    - Strong coding experience building pipelines (Python preferred)
    - Confident with ETL tools and processes
    - Understanding of SQL and No SQL database development
    - Applicants to come from a Data Engineering/Development background
    - Strong communication skills and expert stakeholder facing ability

    Cloud Engineer (AWS) - Full severless projects

    Due to a huge migration to go totally serverless my South London based Automotive client are on a seriously fast journey to find a skilled AWS Systems Engineer who can come in and really know their way around microservice architecture for large scale solutions in the cloud. The overall solution is set to take 5 years to complete and they are currently in year 2 which is why they need to find the right people to see them through this transformation.

    So what will you be doing? You will be working on a project that has had 30 million pounds invested into it so think big! You will have access to 80% of all of the AWS services that are on offer including Amazon Connect which I know as an AWS Systems Engineer you will love to use.

    The platform will be built natively and exclusively in AWS from scratch so you will see your work transform from the ground up. You will follow microservice principles in python for scripting with full API led activity. Overall this job will add a lot of value to your profile.

    The teams are small ran to Safe Agile methodology and you will work alongside a Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Software Engineers. This role gives this person a lot of autonomy and influence over how this project will develop over tje upcoming years so if your current role has your hands tied then this could be your chance to shine.



    What experience would be well matched for this role?

    * Systems Engineering (implementation) capability (Hosting infrastructure, Networking, Security Technologies and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Engineering Tools, Analytics etc.).

    * Commercial use of AWS services, Cloud Formation, Load Balancer, Auto Scaling,

    My blue chip client have created a new channel for customers within their online banking function and to ensure this is delivered to market by the highest of standards I am looking for a DevOps Engineer to join this team and take responsibility of the pipelines.

    So what will you be doing? As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the Existing pipelines whilst contributing to the central pipeline development and its new features. As new requirements arise you will modify and lead any migrations needed for the platform.

    In order to do all of this your day to day will include the use of Jenkins for CI/CD, Gradle for scripting and Redhat aPaaS v2/3 as the platform. As this is a lead role you will find yourself delivering work to budget, time and quality requirements addressing any issues and improvements through the journey.

    What experience would be well matched for this role?

    * Proven experience of supporting the delivery of larger scale environment and application projects using the fore-mentioned technologies of Jenkins, Gradle and Redhat.

    Job Title : AWS Senior DevOps Engineer- 6 Months Contract

    My client, an established, exciting, but still growing consultancy based in Kent is currently working with one of their end-user clients on an AWS Project. Specifically, they are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to make this a success. The position is one that can be done remotely but visiting the Kent Office at least once a week which is easily accessible by private vehicle or public transport will be required in the future.

    As an AWS Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be advising on best practice as you will be working closely with the development team. Your responsibilities will be to build CICD pipelines from scratch and help deploy the lambda functions to their infrastructure.

    Must have :

    * Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience
    * Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools such as terraform or cloud formation etc
    * CICD Build Tools- Experience building this from scratch using tools such as Jenkins or Team City
    * Elastic Container Service (ECS )
    * Strong serverless experience

    The role will include :
