Senior Backend Developer (PHP)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join a rapidly growing technology team and help build innovative security solutions.

About the Role
This position involves working on advanced online protection tools and applications designed to keep users safe across multiple devices. Our products include antivirus software, VPN services, ad blockers, and password managers, all aimed at simplifying digital security for a global user base.

Technology Stack
You'll be part of a web development team responsible for user onboarding platforms, customer account portals, and APIs powering our applications. Our core technologies include PHP, nginx, RabbitMQ, and cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform). We use custom frameworks and provide full training.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for complex challenges
* Research emerging technologies and integrate best practices into development workflows
* Mentor and guide other developers on technical standards
* Enhance and maintain existing software systems for optimal performance

Required Skills & Experience

* Minimum 5 years of commercial experience with PHP
* Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP)
* Proficiency with data storage technologies such as MySQL and NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra)
* Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
* Excellent debugging and analytical skills
* Experience using code profiling tools for performance optimization
* Knowledge of Kubernetes is advantageous

* Developing semantic models for enterprise reporting and enabling Direct Lake.
* Leading client workshops and guiding technical decisions.
* Implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions and enforcing governance best practices.

What We're Looking For

* Advanced PySpark/Spark SQL skills and strong data engineering fundamentals.
* Integration experience with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Business Central.
* CI/CD expertise with Azure DevOps/GitHub and Git version control.
* Strong Power BI modelling and DAX fundamentals.

About the Role

Are you ready to lead the charge in modern data engineering? We're looking for a Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Consultant with 5+ years of experience to design and deliver cutting-edge cloud data platforms for our clients.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of transforming legacy systems into scalable, production-grade architectures using Microsoft Fabric. You'll build complex ingestion pipelines, craft metadata-driven transformation layers, optimise data workflows, and deliver high-quality semantic models that power enterprise reporting.

You'll work across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Business Central, helping organisations embrace best-practice cloud engineering patterns. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where your ability to lead technical conversations and deliver robust, maintainable solutions will set you apart.



Key Responsibilities

* Lead the design and build of end-to-end data solutions in Microsoft Fabric.
* Migrate on-prem data to Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse, enabling Power BI analytics.
* Develop robust data pipelines, notebooks, and data models using:

* Python, PySpark, SQL, Synapse, and Data Warehousing principles.

* Implement CI/CD processes with GitHub integration for lifecycle management.
* Ensure governance, security, and best practices across environments.
* Act as the primary technical contact for stakeholders, running workshops and guiding the team.

Essential Skills
