    Job Description

    Due to continued success and growth, my client expanding their development team and are now looking for a Cloud Architect. You will be working with architects, technologists and development teams with the responsibility to ensure that products and solutions integrate with clients. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will take a lead role working closely with our Operations Engineering team to provide a world-class DevOps Environment capable of handling the anticipated development load.

    Qualifications

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Architect and provide technical direction for our approach for cloud/SaaS and on-premise products
    * Review and evaluate new and existing architecture and code to ensure it meets standards; or for existing products that they will operate within the overall cloud architecture.
    * Evangelize the cloud and microservice message and architecture within the development organization and to our field organizations, partners and customers
    * Lead on the setting and enforcement of architecture standards and practices affecting development of all new products as well as impacting existing ones. Develop these standards in coordination with peers in other divisions.
    * Research new technologies, including hands-on technical evaluation and POCs.
    * Create and maintain documentation

    The day job

    This is a great opportunity to join their Cyber team as a Senior Security Architect in a newly created post due to an increase in work load. This isn't a replacement so perfect opportunity to forge your own way to architect enterprise solutions for private sector clients.

    They have a number of exciting projects coming up along with the BAU to keep you busy.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Ensuring strong message security and mail hygiene.
    * Security Target Operating Models
    * Endpoint Security
    * Identity and Access Management
    * Information Governance
    * Identifying potential efficiencies and new ways of working
    * Working with and advising the solution architects on the potential security strengths and weaknesses of proposed solutions
    * Designing solutions and demonstrating how to design

    Required skills
    You need to have:

    * Excellent customer facing skills - able to communicate effectively with staff and clients at all levels
    * Extensive experience in IT Security, specifically in a management role with a proven track record
    * A real breadth and depth across various areas, no need to be SME an in one particular vertical

    It would be great if you had:

    * Certifications are great but no pre-requisite, but anything cloud related is always good to have - AWS, Azure GCP etc

    Looking for a unique opportunity to help establish an Engineering organisation with the oversight to design, implement, and lead a group responsible for delivering on growth and industry-changing strategic objectives?

    As Director of Engineering, you'll work closely with the leadership team to build a world-class engineering group. You'll be a "player-coach," focused on attracting and developing engineering talent, but also staying hands-on in the technology to oversee the development of an outstanding product and customer experience.

    The successful candidate will be a seasoned technology executive able to lead engineering teams delivering solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You'll have a proven track record building platforms and scaling engineering organisations while executing critical programs.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    * An interest in making an impact on the way money moves between people globally.
    * 5+ years of experience in software development management.
    * 1+ years as a Director of Engineering or above whose span of control is at or above 10 engineers.
    * A strong background in object-oriented programming in a language such as Java, C#, Objective-C or C++.
    * Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML / XSLT, SQL, database design, message-oriented-middleware, caching, and systems integration.
    * Hands on experience resolving performance and scalability issues of SaaS-based applications.
    * Experience with designing, building, and deploying secure, scalable services in the SaaS environments.
    * Strong fluency in Agile software practices.
    * Tolerant of high degrees of ambiguity, and good at resolving uncertainty and setting direction. Willing to backtrack, seek multiple solutions, and experiment to validate approaches.
    * Contributed to the establishment of Software Configuration Management practices.
    * Establishment and management of DevOps teams.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Proven experience:

    * 3+ years' experience in DevOps/Software Configuration Management role
    * Managing the cloud infrastructure as code, using either CloudFormation or Terraform.
    * Maintaining highly available and performant environments.
    * Excellent Linux experience, and experience in at least one of the following tools: Puppet, Chef or Ansible
    * Managing and deploying AWS Load Balancers, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, S3.
    * Managing and deploying Serverless applications: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB
    * Working knowledge Docker containers, Kubernetes, AWS ECS
    * Networking, network security and have a deep knowledge of TCP/IP
    * Excellent automated builds and deployments experience.
