    You will be responsible for the technical direction of the flagship software solutions for each of the business units, identifying areas of leverage and synergies across the teams and platforms.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Develop software technology strategy and architectures to align to business objectives and manage technical and knowledge risks
    * Collaborate across teams to ensure the strategy is delivered and technology stack is managed
    * Stay abreast of latest technologies, frameworks, platforms and processes
    * Collaborate with engineering leadership, product, QA, UX to ensure the technical and business strategies and roadmaps are aligned
    * Work across teams to enhance a culture that encourages communication, collaboration, integration, automation and continuous improvement
    * Contribute to project/tender proposals to understand high level scope and provide resource estimations
    * Introduce policies and processes to comply with quality management and information security management
    * Identify opportunities for improving efficiency e.g. reusable micrcoservices



    YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

    * Degree in computer science, engineering or related field
    * Experience leading high performing software engineering teams
    * Experience building complex digital technology solutions
    * Broad experience with modern web/cloud native technologies, frameworks and platforms e.g. Java, javascript, RESTful APIs, AWS, Azure
    * Proven record in developing and delivering on a software technology strategy
    * Knowledge of large scale distributed system architectures
    * Appreciation of big data and data engineering

    Multi Cloud Platform/HPC (High Performance Compute) Engineer

    Dublin (2-3 days in office per week)

    Overall Packages between €150,000 - €250,000+ dependent on experience.

    Jefferson Frank have been enlisted to support a well esteemed hedge fund who building a state of the art high performance compute (HPC) capability to support their internal teams. This in turn will enable their teams including Portfolio Management, Data Scientists and Developers scale their computing capabilities on premise and in the cloud platforms.



    Primary Responsibilities:

    * You will be operating in a customer focused HPC team working with the business and aligned to teams to design, develop, test and deploy High Performance Compute Infrastructure.
    * You will be comfortable building relationships with multiple internal stakeholders and delivering platform solutions to their needs (Including Quantitative, Engineers, Data Science etc)
    * Help the business drive adoption and subsequent HPC platform offering



    Experience Required:

    * Experience working on multi tenant compute environments/grid systems (consulting with business units to develop HPC Solutions etc)
    * Strong Python (or more) programming experience
    * Strong Systems experience (Linux)
    * Configuration Management and CI/CD
    * Strong knowledge of Public Cloud Platforms, deep expertise in either AWS or GCP (ideally both)
    * Expertise in building multi tenant HPC environments and familiarity leveraging relevant frameworks like SLURM
    * Terraform
    * Strong understanding of network and security



    Package

    * Base Salary between €120,000 to €220,000 dependent on your level of experience.
    * Annual Cash Bonus on top of above base.

    Role & Responsibilities

    * As an experience Ruby engineer, you'll join and collaborate with the Development, QA and DevOps teams
    * You'll write long-standing and efficient code to solve unique client problems
    * Be willing to attend occasional meetings on client sites in London (travel will be expensed)

    Skills & Qualifications

    * Minimum 2 years commercial experience in Ruby development / engineering
    * Have a real enthusiasm for real-world problem solving with the latest technology
    * Familiarity with DevOps would be a great plus!
