Role & Responsibilities

* Taking a proactive approach to designing and building solutions within the IoT space - with a focus on temperature, climate monitoring, Gateways and Cloud Platforms
* Communicating with new customers to identify requirements for each individualised, customisable implementation at various sites across sweden
* Ensuring high reliability, scalability, and security for IoT Solutions, ETL pipelines and cloud repositories

Skills & Qualifications

Job Description

The main issue our clients is looking to address is that healthcare in Sweden is focused on reactive treatment of diseases - our client is focused on affecting the Swedish healthcare system.

Working in a combination with three other startups, this company represents a multi-pronged effort to overhaul the mindset towards healthcare across the Nordics.

As part of their approach to rectifying this societal issue, they have made the decision to hire 5 new engineers to their 3 teams in the first half of this year - making this a great time to join a fast-growing company, that will be growing organically for many years to come.

Role & Responsibilities

* Working on a large scale digital transformation involving the full SDLC, with a range of greenfield projects involving new application development, architecture designs, and a migration of the entire infrastructure
* Building, deploying Node/TypeScript solutions to a Dockerised cloud-native environment
* Working with Apache Kafka to implement an events-driven architecture with the end goal of improving the efficiency and speed of a system aimed at saving lives!

Skills & Qualifications

* 5+ years of professional experience working with TypeScript, React and Node.js (with an added bonus if you have worked with Next.js!)
* Prior experience working within microserviced and events-driven architecture (ideally with Apache Kafka, Pub/Sub, KubeMQ are all valued alternatives)
* Experience of working within a cloud-native infrastructure; ideally with an understanding of FarGate and ECS

We're working with a SaaS product company that specialises in increasing safety and reducing risk in the workplace for typically industrialised companies which user heavy-duty and sometimes dangerous engineering equipment.

Founded by experts in Safety and Computer science in addition to being backend by highly respected industry leaders and VC's, they're on a mission to improve and automate industrial safety monitoring and risk mitigation by utilising computer vision and machine learning.

The Role?

Due to expansion of the company, as the Lead Engineer you will be taking technical responsibility from the CTO to oversee the future scalability of the backend system & it's API's. You'll architect, develop and deploy microservices, collaborate with front-end and ML engineers, design and deploy data pipelines and participate in key product discussions and decisions.

In terms of their architecture it's very cloud based, automated and utilises complex analytics. Their product is divided into 3 area's which includes an ML platform with deep learning and computer vision to handle MLOps. Their software connects to camera's, process frames and processes observations/presents notifications which is all written in Python with Flask & FastAPI. Currently hosted on AWS with ongoing plans for this to be a hybrid-cloud system in the future!

They currently work in a distributed team however do have occasional meet-ups in Malmo and Stockholm. What this means is no set days in the office, remote means remote. Candidates MUST already be based in Sweden.

What they're looking for?

* 3+ years modern Python experience (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
* 3+ years Microservices and/or AWS experience.

The Role

Joining an already well-established, yet close-knit development team in their Stockholm headquarters you'll be expected to quickly get up to speed with their product. You'll be heavily involved in the planning and delivery of new feature deployments in addition to being critically involved with high-level tech challenges; architecture planning with the team being closely aligned with Product Owners in addition to migrating code to modern iterations, scaling their platform and completing bug-fixing/system enhancements where required.

The CEO & founder was fascinated by this area of human biology, devoting years of their career speaking to doctors regarding the subject which later resulted in creating this company.

The core product produces data and helps parents of newborn babies and young children to monitor Microbiome imbalances, which can reduce the risk of health conditions later in life including Asthma, Obesity, Diabetes, Allergies and more!

Having now received a multi-million euro investment from their latest investment round. This has established a runway of 2+ years and so they're now looking to hire a founding engineer to their tech team. The current setup has 6 employee's in the company including students from some of the words top Universities including Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Role.

The chosen candidates primary responsibility will be building the proof of concept for their core product. A heavy focus on backend architecture and web applications, you'll use the Data Science algorithm to build this platform, making architectural decisions on how data should be displayed, UI and backend structure.

Already well-embedded in the AWS community you'll be building a cloud-hosted and serverless product. Whilst already employing a CTO that you will work closely with, you will take the lead on this project and take ownership for their core product moving forwards.

A growing team which has been focused in more recent times on building a suite of new services as a result of customer feedback, you'll be working with a modern, cloud-hosted system that's built with TypeScript, React & Vue primarily. In addition to this they have recently integrated events-driven architecture to their platform.

The chosen candidate will be focused on the UI of their applications, in some cases building the frontend of new features with TypeScript and React IN ADDITION to optimising their existing solutions to improve performance and addressing any issues which arise.
