Software Tester

Looking for a Software Tester to join a growing platform service provider in the insurance industry. This role sits within our current team alongside software engineering team, platform engineers & UI/UX designers. This is a Mid-level position, joining our team including a Test Lead, Senior Tester & Junior Automated Tester.

Experience needed:

* Java Technology Stack
* Manual and Automated test experience
* Mobile and Web testing experience
* Specific experience in several of the following tools: Selenium, Postman, Flutter/Appium, IntelliJ IDE, Jira, Git & Bitbucket

Salary & Benefits:

* Base salary £40,000 - £43,500 DOE
* UK wide remote working, with quarterly team meets ups (We have offices in London& Leeds)

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll be a key player in building and scaling the next-generation mobile and web applications supported by our cloud platform. Our applications are built using Node.JS, React.JS & Typescript & leverage a number of AWS & Azure cloud services.

* Leading technical delivery across various applications and cloud-based platforms globally.
* Building strong relationships with technology and business teams to align platform strategy with business needs.
* Enhancing, designing, architecting, operating, securing, and supporting our application and platform environments.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet demanding service level agreements, standards, and operating practices.

What We're Looking For:

* Thorough knowledge of DevOps methodologies and a previous background working within or alongside a Software Engineering team.
* Proficient in cloud migration design, deployments, and automation.
* Experience with test-driven development and expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, or CSS.
* Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes including associated public cloud services such as EKS or AKS.

This role is 2 days per week in London.

Data Engineer - London - Flexible travel to the office - Retail

Role & Responsibilities

*

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient databases to support the functionality and performance of their internal enterprise applications. You will collaborate closely with their development and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal database performance.

You will help lead data strategy; aligned with organisational objectives, including data governance, data architecture, data quality management, and data integration initiatives.

Lead the ongoing development and support for data warehouse, customer data platform (CDP), and associated data pipelines using Matillion and Snowflake.

You will gather requirements from the Business Intelligence team and translate them into technical specifications that can be implemented by the software development team. This includes software requirements for data maintenance, and dashboard requirements for displaying of insights to relevant users.

An ecommerce company based in Manchester are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a greenfield project team working on a new financial services platform. The team operate as an independent start-up, within an established organisation which has been trading for over 100 years.

Responsibilities will include:

* Designing, coding, documenting and amending complex programs/scripts and integration software services.
* Contributing to the selection of the software development methods, tools and techniques.
* Applying agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes.
* Designing complex software applications, components and modules.
* Using approved tools and techniques for specific deployment activities.
* Using application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics.

The successful candidate will have a background in Javascript/Typescript development with experience of Node serverless microservices. You will need experience of AWS serverless development and Terraform or Kafka experience would be advantageous.

Senior Data Engineer | Databricks |

1 - 2 times in office per month, London

£70,000 PA

There is a performance based bonus of up to 8% but this is not guaranteed.

Senior Data Engineer: Python, Azure, Databricks, SQL

The primary focus of the role is Databricks Data Engineering. You will be building data pipelines using Databricks, coding using PySpark, and supporting internal applications as the client are moving away from a legacy application into new bespoke applications which rely on Databricks. You will also be using Python for Data Transformations and work across the Azure Data Platform.

Must Have:

* Strong Databricks Data Engineering skills, not just admin but actually building data pipelines in Databricks and using it regularly.
* Strong coding experience with Pyspark.
* Strong experience in SQL Server and Python coding.
* Knowledge of Azure Data Factory.
* Strong 3-5 years working as a Data Engineer.
* Github source control experience.
* Excellent communication skills

A manufacturing firm are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is a motivated and enthusiastic team player to be part of our their growing team. The role will involve designing, testing and maintaining high quality code within their products.



Key responsibilities:



* Research, design, develop and debug software solutions for new and existing products and features.
* Provision of a full set of technical documentation for allocated projects and provide support for those projects where future design changes are required.
* Ensuring product designs and code conform to all relevant standards pertaining to safety, functionality and performance.
* Ensuring new code and updated code is fully tested with no regressions.
* Participation in code and design reviews
* Investigate and resolved issues within the code.
* Provide ongoing support to all stakeholders including customers.



The successful candidate will need to have commercial experience working with C++ and C, and Embedded Linux. This role requires someone who is bilingual with English and Mandarin.
