Senior Engineer for Landing Zone, Security & networking - Up to £675 p/d

3 month contract - Inside IR35 - Start date ASAP

1 day per week in SE1 based office in London

* Technical Lead in designing, building and configuring network and security components to interface with an existing Production Landing Zone hosted in AWS
* Strong Networking, access management and Cloud security infrastructure knowledge is essential including knowledge of inspection VPC, specifically (IDP/IDS) cloud based firewall technology
* Hands-on experience in design and delivery of systems based on AWS IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings, as well as exposure to different architecture models
* DevOps skills for leading team and consulting the customer
* Experience with CI/CD-based environments (specifically ADO)
* At least 3 years of cloud developing large-scale distributed cloud systems;
* AWS deployment techniques CloudFormation, YAML, and code deployments
* Proficiency scripting in multiple languages - JavaScript/Node.js, Java, Python
* Own amendments of High-level Design and create Low Level design to very high quality. Creation of run books to support the ongoing 7x24 operation
* Builds are to be compliance with defined security standards and leverage Production Landing Zone.
* Adherence to Change Controls and stringent technical governance as mandated on an Enterprise Financial environment
* Demonstrates a positive attitude and confident approach in dealing with new challenges

SAS Data Engineer (6-12 Month Contract)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAS Data Engineer with Python and Credit Risk experience to lead a dynamic team.

As a SAS Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of large datasets.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data pipelines, design data models, and provide valuable insights into credit risk analysis.

Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain SAS data integration processes and solutions to ensure the availability, reliability, and integrity of credit risk data.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows to extract, transform, and load (ETL) large datasets from various sources into SAS.
* Implement data quality checks and ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Develop and maintain data models, ensuring proper data organization, storage, and retrieval.
* Perform data analysis and provide insights into credit risk assessment, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
* Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in credit risk analysis and data engineering, and apply them to improve processes and methodologies.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, resolve data-related problems, and optimize data processes for performance and scalability.
* Document data engineering processes, methodologies, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
* Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a financial institution or credit risk domain.
* Strong proficiency in SAS programming, including SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL.
* Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
* Solid understanding of credit risk concepts and methodologies, including credit scoring, provisioning, and stress testing.
* Experience with data modeling, database design, and performance optimization.
* Proficiency in ETL processes and tools, and strong knowledge of data integration techniques.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques used in credit risk modeling.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Certification in SAS programming or credit risk analysis.
* Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
* Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
* Familiarity with other programming languages and tools commonly used in data engineering and analysis, such as R, SQL, or Spark.
