If you are an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer looking for a new opportunity, then please check out the below. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large government department implementing a 'foundation' reference architecture for products based on AWS and the 'data mesh' concept.

You will be part of a team of up to 7 engineers, participating in daily stand ups and team meetings. You will deliver specific foundation services and set up development pipelines, responsible for story decomposition and sprint planning.

For this role we would like to find out about your recent projects, demonstrating your skill and proven application of the below technologies.



Must Haves:

I am working with a highly exciting DeFi business that is growing at an unprecedented rate. As part of their growth plans we are looking to firm up their DevOps team rapidly and are looking for multiple engineers.

This is a fantastic opportunity in a hugely progressive sector which offers a lot of autonomy and full remote working. Working closely with the Software Engineering Manager you will provide technical expertise and support for key AWS and other services, be confident in dealing with infrastructure provisioning and system outages in an efficient manner.

Desired experience:

* Experienced with AWS coming from a strong Linux background
* Ability to set up access keys and instances
* Security minded and experienced with load balancing and cluster management solutions
* Great commercial experience with Docker
* Experienced with Jenkins, Terraform, Bash/Shell scripting
* Experienced with AWS administration - Permissions, Secrets Management etc
* Experienced with Kubernetes management and orchestration, ideally EKS
* Experienced with ELK (Elastisearch) - Logs, Monitoring and Visulizations
* Any experience in Financial Services or Insurance would be great but not mandatory (Desirable)

About the Role

This role is remote.

We are looking for DevOps Engineer to join the Engineering team as we are on a mission to build and deliver the most sophisticated crypto-trading platform out there.

My client, a London-based tech company in the Blockchain/Crypto space, focuses on designing and creating the infrastructure that will allow decentralised applications to thrive and reach their full potential. They are currently building a vertically integrated staking-validator-exchange solution for Proof of Stake blockchains. Our easy-to-use, secure and scalable platform aims to establish a new product category in the industry.

Responsibilities

* Lead the building of a scalable and secure infrastructure in this fast-moving space
* Design the platforms that will enable a continuous delivery environment. This includes automating testing, continuous integration pipelines, and provisioning of environments
* Run our production environments against critical SLAs (speed, uptime, stability).
* Build solutions for monitoring and collecting metrics to improve functional areas.
* Lead aspects of security design for our environments both from a production and an internal access aspect.
* Create an auto-scaling infrastructure in both cloud and hosted environments finding the right balance between cost, security and scalability
* Work with the engineering team to create connectors to new DeFi protocols/blockchains and to build new smart contracts
* Set up and maintain node infrastructure Requirements
* Strong and extensive knowledge of AWS and other cloud solutions
* Knowledge and experience in designing and deploying hybrid infrastructure solutions (e.g., with Digital Ocean) is a must
* A good understanding of security and encryption technologies eg. AES and key management
* Experience with toolings like Kubernetes, Sumologic, Grafana, Consul or similar solutions for digital operations a must
* Demonstrated experience growing a large scale and mission-critical environment with regards to configuration management, security and DevOps



Experience or knowledge

* Ethereum, smart contract technologies and blockchains are not mandatory but will be useful.

SENIOR AWS DEVOPS ENGINEER - £550 PER DAY - INSIDE IR35 - 6 MONTHS INITIAL

Harnessing your experience of DevOps, CI/CD pipelining and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), you'll take on a leading frontline role. This will entail, building and automating highly scalable systems with the most up-to-date technologies to deliver real change. Take end-to-end ownership for developing and implementing solutions.



Key responsibilities:



* Implementing CI/CD principles & implement best practices for platform build automation.
* Configuring and using DevSecOps tooling i.e. source code repositories (GIT) Artifactory, Selenium, Fortify, Snyk, SonarQube and ELK stack as part of CI/CD pipeline
* Experience in developing automated software delivery workflows with Jenkins, integration with ServiceNow, Terraform and Ansible Tower
* Good knowledge in infrastructure and components like Active Directory, DHCP, SSL certificates
* Hands on experience in implementing DevOps solutions, implementation & automation of Application Life Cycle Management.
* Experience in new ways of working , Agile way of development, using the Scrum framework
* Strong communication skills and ability to relate to and influence employees at all levels.
* In depth knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows Server and related integration technologies like VMware
* Collaborating on strategic proof of concepts and pilots for new infrastructure technologies
* Managing relevant stakeholders and relationships across the business.
* Good to have: Developing, testing skills and deploying software into a public cloud environment, preferably AWS, but Azure or Google Cloud experience is added advantages



Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to £550.00 per day
