Senior Front End Engineer - Tech Scale-Up - £80k-£90k

England, London

  • 80000 to 90000 GBP
  • Developer Role
  • Skills: Front End Engineer, Front End Developer, Web Engineer, Web Developer, UI Developer, JavaScript, Angular, Vue, Vanilla, ES6, React, Redux, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, LESS, Bootstrap, JQuery, AWS, Gulp, Grunt
  • Seniority: Senior

Description du poste

Senior Front End Engineer | London / Remote | £80,000 - £90,000

I am exclusively engaged with a Global Tech Scale-Up (with offices in the US and Europe) who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Front End Engineer to be based remotely, with occasional time spent in their new London office post-COVID. Founded in 2015, these guys are now valued at around $1bn and are going through a sustained period of growth, with this role being part of a recruitment drive aiming to set up a 'Technology Centre of Excellence' in London.

Role Overview

Working in a senior tech capacity, your role will see you take up a hands-on engineering role within the team, coaching and mentoring Junior Engineers whilst working with a modern technology stack (e.g. React, Redux, TypeScript, Node, CSS, LESS, SASS, Npm, Gulp etc.). You will also be given the chance to progress through the business, either into more technical roles (i.e. Software Architect) or down the management route (i.e. Engineering Manager). Moreover, this team is going through a period of hiring so experience scaling/growing technology teams would be a huge bonus!

Working Patterns

Despite this role being technicall classed as 'based in London', in reality you will only be expected to spend 1 day per week maximum (if that) in the office post-COVID. This role will support flexible/remote working so it is unlikely you will ever be in the office full time.

Please note that this role does not accept applications from candidates based outside the UK.

Key Requirements

In terms of their expectations, I have decided against copying and pasting the JD and thought it would be more useful to summarise the key requirements - see below:

* Frameworks - You must have proven commercial experience developing Front End applications using frameworks such as Angular, Vue, React, Redux etc.
* Front End Development - Experience using core Front End tech (i.e. Bootstrap, HTML, SASS, LESS, CSS etc.).
* Dev Tools - Experience using core engineering tools such as BitBucket, Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Docker etc.
* Methods - Commercial experience and knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD.

Next Steps

The Frank Recruitment Group are this organisation's exclusive recruitment partner so in order to apply, please contact me via the following:

* Email -
* Telephone - 0191 338 7540
* LinkedIn - 'Liam Haghighat'

Please note that this role does not offer visa sponsorship. Moreover, all conversations relating to this role will remain confidential and all applications will strictly adhere to GDPR.
