A leading provider of telecommunication and VOIP software services are looking to increase their development team by a further five professionals. Due to a string of project and clients wins they are now in a position to increase the team.

As the successful candidate you will have the drive and passion to build world class software always using the latest technologies. As part of the position you will have the opportunity to access in depth development plans and promotion structures.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Input into high-level design conversations.
* Take part in ceremonies associated with the Scrum and SAFe Framework, providing accurate estimates at backlog refinement sessions.
* Supporting the delivery of the team's sprint goals.
* Delivering unit or BDD tests as part of any completed work.
* Developing high-quality code to meet the defined software requirements.
* Implementing automated development deployment pipelines working closely with DevOps.
* Supporting the team in delivering high-quality code by carrying out code reviews.
* Supporting the use of automated acceptance tests wherever possible.
* Be involved in release testing where necessary.
* Assisting support and project delivery in bug fixing of released functionality.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

* Higher Education Qualification or equivalent (desirable)
* Degree or equivalent (desirable)
* Industry recognized software development qualification (desirable)
* More than 3 years software development experience

Technical Skills:

* C#/.Net Core,
* HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (Angular)
* Experience with RESTful API / Web APIs,
* AWS/Azure DevOps (Or Jira), CI, CD

Senior Backend Developer

The company is based in Helsinki (but will accommodate remote working) whose technology is a Cloud based subscription service for mobile games - part owned by Rovio.

They are currently looking to strengthen their in-house R&D team with a solid hands-on Backend Developer. This is a once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity to play a key role in shaping an industry-defining service. If you are a self-starter, used to working with multiple backend and infrastructure technologies with good teamwork skills then it would be an ideal fit.

Their tech stack/skill requirement is:

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
● Experience in brainstorming, designing and implementing scalable services
● Hands-on experience in working with different kind of databases (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, etc)
● Extensive knowledge of Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, Java
● Experience in using Python for scripting and automation
● Experience in working with scalable distributed real-time data / event streaming services e.g. NSQ, Kafka and/or Kinesis
● Good understanding of best practices for Unit testing & Integration testing
● Excellent communication skills and ability to convey your thoughts to not only a variety of engineers (Client, Backend, Graphics, Infrastructure, Cloud Ops, etc) but also high-level and non-technical stakeholders.

Beneficial skills are:

● Knowledge of graph databases (e.g. neo4j, Neptune, etc)

I am looking for highly skilled Node.Js developers to join my client. The end client is one of the big government departments and the contract 6 months **outside IR35**

The right candidate must be passionate about technology and developing IT system, utilising XP, and agile practices

Skills and experience we're looking for:

* Knowledge of and experience working with JavaScript (ES5)
* Knowledge of and experience working with JS
* Knowledge of and experience working with NPM.
* Programming skills in designing and implementation of multi-tier applications using web-based technologies.
* Experience with version control tools.
* Solid understanding of JSON and RESTful architectures.
* Solid understanding of unit testing and at least, one of the most common JavaScript testing libraries like Jest, Jasmine, Mocha, Cypress etc.
* Solid understanding on mocking frameworks.
* Understanding of how to develop software using TDD and its benefits.
* Experience with continuous integration.
* An awareness of Agile practices.

Desirable skills and experience:

* Experience with Test Driven Development.
* Experience working with TypeScript would be an advantage.
* Experience working with ECMAScript 2015 would be an advantage.
