Information Architect - Clinical Data - Outside IR35

Job Title: Information Architect

Contract Length: 6 Months

Rate: Negotiable Dependent on experience

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Start Date: Early January/ASAP



Industry skills:
- At least 5-8 years professional experience, with at least 3 years in Information/Solution Architect roles.
- Understanding of Clinical Trials and experience from the pharmaceutical industry
- Understanding of clinical metadata standards (ideally with knowledge of CDASH and CDISC 360)
- Proven hands-on experience on driving clinical trial integration facilitating seamlessly combine trial data, for analysis and reuse
- Experience of Clinical EDC technologies (ideally RAVE) and any Data Management Work bench or Data warehouse technologies.
- Experience of applying clinical interchange standards, such as CDISC ODM, SDTM

Technical skills:
- Experience in developing conceptual and logical data models (third normal form).
- Experienced using ER/Studio Data Architect (preferred), Erwin or a similar data modelling tool.
- Understanding of Master Data, Reference Data and Metadata Management concepts (alternatively a DAMA Certified Data Professional)
- Understanding of the FAIR data principles and how these apply to the delivery of integrated solutions
- Understanding of both SQL and NonSQL technologies

Soft skills:
- Exhibits strong skills typically required as an architect (i.e.: presentation and public speaking, negotiation, challenging the status quo)
- Experience of SAFe and agile program frameworks in projects, including PI planning and the need to influence and negotiate with stakeholders in planning
- Can lead and delegate work, holds self and others accountable, manages transparency and regularly reports to key stakeholders
- Ability to engage and drive collaboration across different teams from Business, IT, Shared Services , and third party vendors

Desirable Skills:
- Experience Process Re-engineering, preferably in the clinical domain
- Ability to develop conceptual models to define data strategies
- Experience in defining information architecture to support automation of end-to-end Clinical data processes reducing manual activities
- Experience of XML, RDF and supporting modelling tools (XMLSpy, Protégé).
- Experience of designing API's to support integration
- Experience of API Gateways (Mulesoft)

My client is a large IT consultancy that is looking for an experienced AWS solutions architect to help provide technical expertise and hands-on day to day support for a number of their projects.

Role and responsibilities

* You will play a huge part in acting as an SME within the Cloud space.
* Take advantage of Serverless technologies in designing AWS technical solutions.
* Collaborate with other teams of engineers, developers and architects across various projects and stages in the project life cycle.
* Focusing on multiple customs at any given time to ensure successful delivery.
* Aiding clients to visualise the opportunities of leveraging public cloud and the steps to get there.

Essential Skills and experience

* Amazon ECS/ERM/S3
* Redshift
* Ability to create high quality, reusable IaC scripts- Terraform, Cloudformation
* Infrastructure as code
* AWS certified; ideally Solutions Architect
* Minimum 3 year's experience with Solution Architecture

You will work closely with numerous stakeholders (both internal and external), with a strong focus on developing a pragmatic strategy and approach all the way through to designing and delivering the solution.

Job Description;

I'm recruiting for an Information Architect, someone with multiple years experience within Pharmaceuticals (Ideally Supply Chain). The primary focus will be on information model design and implementation, data quality and Master Data Management. In addition they will also undertake a range of activities including business requirements analysis and BI solution design and delivery.

Tool & Technology Experience



* Experience with & knowledge in a broad base of BI & IA tools.
* Preferred tools are SAP BusinessObjects, Spotfire, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, Informatica Powercentre, Talend, SAP MDM / MDG, Oracle DRM / DRG, Erwin, Oracle Database, MySQL, AWS RDS for Aurora, Amazon Redshift
* Consideration will be given to experience of other similar tools including Cognos, Qliktech, SAS/IBM SPSS, Informatica MDM, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Application Express, Oracle SOA and BPM suites (FMW), SharePoint, SAP HANA/other appliances/MPP technologies, Big Data technologies e.g. Hadoop, Map Reduce, Hive etc.

Required Technical Skills;
