Our client is a firm which works on transforming the way in which the hospitality industry sets its prices. They are looking for someone to join their small team to help build their algorithm validating and monitoring platform.

Role & Responsibilities

* You will be responsible for productionising and prototyping analytics dashboards that help them find and diagnose problems within the operations and design of their algorithms and infrastructure.
* Working alongside the CSO (Chief Science Officer) and other colleagues within the Optimisation team, you will assist with defining the KPIs that drive their monthly prioritisation as well as being responsible for tracking them.
* You will also be in charge of managing any releases which relate to upgrading their Business Intelligence ppipelines or data model.
* You will be producing actionable and insightful visualisations and dashboards from complex data sets and make them available to internal users.
* Lastly, you will assist with the design of big data warehouses and advise on infrastructure decisions.

Role Overview:

* Writing great SQL, Why settle for anything else?

* Pair programming to fine-tune a particularly thorny query
* Speaking with stakeholders to understand their needs
* Building relationships with your colleagues - mentoring them, and teaching things you've learned
* Partnering with Data Architects, Data Scientists, Product Managers and Data Engineers to deliver robust data products



What are we looking for?

* You find data fascinating, and have previous experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist or similar domain
* You have an affinity for organisation; love spotting relationships between things and enjoy reasoning problems such as "flock is to birds, as herd is to [?]"
* You feel at home writing SQL
* You're interested in using core Software Engineering principles, such as Automated Testing, CI/CD, Git Version Control and having a maintainable codebase
* You're passionate about learning
* You're curious and ask questions about technologies and use initiative to figure things out
* You like having ownership of your work and seeing it through
* You've got a point of view that you're willing to share but are low ego
* Experience with Snowflake, Microstrategy, GitHub + (GitHub Actions), CodePipeline + various ETL tools.
