Gaming Industry - Remote - 50K Base

We are an interactive learning company, with the mission of making education fun! Having started our journey through a series of print products, many of which became best sellers. We have since transitioned to the Educational Tech space (Ed-Tech), where we are currently edifying the gaming industry through a series of exciting games.

We recently partnered with Roblox to help build an educational game that'll be setup within schools on a global scale! We are now looking for a Data Analyst to take responsibility of the substantial amount of data we capture across our video games as well as provide insight into improving conversion and data driving our product strategy.

We offer lots of autonomy within the role. You'll be working on our gaming analytics, helping us build upon existing dashboards and developing automated solutions on our games as well as utilising data science to develop and maintain adaptive learning algorithms to improve student learning and so much more!



Experience we are looking for:

-AWS technologies, though open to other cloud providers GCP/Azure ( 2yrs+)

-Experience using API's and REST methodologies

-Python for data analysis and visualisation

-Knowledge of databases - MySQL, Snowflake and data modelling

About the Role

The Data Analyst will take the lead in mining, cleansing, modelling, analysing and visualising data for key stakeholders.The role represents a rare and exciting opportunity to grow alongside one of Scotland's most exciting technology scale-ups. There is a fair degree of fluidity around this role as well as others being recruited into the Data team. Skills needed: Be passionate about the power and value of data.

* Experience of full ownership of a business intelligence solution, preferably Tableau.
* Proficiency in programming languages including SQL and Python.
* Experience of developing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
* Knowledge of best practices for planning, structuring and documentation.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* Familiarity with data regulations, including GDPR and the Data Protection Act (2018)

Skills required:

* Own, manage and automate data pipelines between our data warehouse and business intelligence platform.
* Develop dashboards and reports within the BI that help users to quickly gain an understanding of overall business performance according to key metrics, and follow an intuitive path to drill into the data and perform their own root cause analysis.
* Share your knowledge and expertise with others to help increase data literacy and support a migration towards self-service analytics for routine business questions.
* Take a lead role in scoping and implementing new systems and tooling within the analytics stack to improve efficiency and data quality, and influencing our data strategy by reviewing current setup and providing any recommendations to management.

Here at Jefferson Frank we are supporting an award winning and leading Car Benefit company who are in pursuit of a QA Analyst. They are looking for a QA Analyst to join their testing team. Someone with a good foundation in testing and wants to further their career within testing, someone who is keen to learn new technologies.



You will be:

* Working within a friendly and supportive testing team in a fun and dynamic Agile development environment.
* Working with a variety of teams: Developers, Product Owners, Business staff, etc. to deliver solutions to help the company grow and succeed.
* Exciting and varying testing using websites, APIs, mobile devices, tablets, etc.
* Longer-term we hope your help to move us to a technical testing approach.

These are the qualities we are looking for:

* Minimum 3 years' experience of testing complex and integrated web applications.
* Experience of cross-browser and cross-platform testing using various browsers / mobile / tablets / etc.
* Commercial experience of JIRA, Confluence, data and matric creation tools.
* Producing test artefacts (test scripts; test matrixes; data matrixes; test plans; etc.) using various approaches (e.g. high-level scenario through detailed test steps).
* Experience of API and database testing, with a solid understanding of SQL.
* Experience of using BrowserStack.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong attention to detail and patience when doing the same task repeatedly.
