Datalake Data Solution Architect - Dublin - 85,000 - 95,000 euros



FRG Data are working with a well esteemed Financial Services Group in Ireland who are on a digital first transformation journey.



They are looking for experienced Datalake Data Solution Architects highly experienced in a number of technologies on premise and cloud, this role will sit above highly experienced Engineering teams.



Responsibilites:

* Provide ownership and accountability for delivering effective solution designs to meet business needs within the Bank`s Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) platforms, taking the lead on the delivery from an data design perspective
* Contribute to the data architecture roadmap and strategy, working with the enterprise architecture team providing inputs in the definition of the future data architecture state
* Provide key contributions to overall solution planning, providing input into the estimation process as well as highlighting technical risks, issues and assumptions
* Partake in design reviews from fellow data solution architects within the team, contribute to the architecture governance forums as required, as well as presenting to the Bank`s Architecture Review Board when necessary



Required Experience:

*

You are a highly experienced solution architect in designing solutions for large-scale distributed data projects and programmes working in complex, multi-vendor change delivery organisations. You have deep distributed data platform knowledge and experience particularly on the Cloudera CDH/CDP.
* You have excellent knowledge of distributed data design principles commonly used in Hadoop and a solid understanding of processing large datasets (including streaming data and unstructured data utilising HBase, Hive, Impala and Spark).
* You are experienced in modern engineering practices and technologies and Scrum/Kanban and SAFe delivery. You have a proven track record in complex enterprise IT estates with an ability to contribute to projects and programmes quickly.

* Mulesoft Anypoint OR Rest API OR SOAP services OR Kafka OR Swagger/RAML
* Experience would be desirable in any of: Mainframe, DB2, iSeries/AS400 etc
* Payment Domain experience
* Database experience like Oracle Exadata, MongoDB, SQL Server or Postgres
* Technologies like ElasticSearch or ELK, experience with Node.js is also a plus
* AWS experience desirable
* Certifications in IASA, CITA, CITA-A or TOGAF desirable



Responsibilities:

* Desigining end-to-end solutions meeting business needs
* Defining and refining requirements, overall solution planning, estimation and design
* Produce design artefacts
* Define and drive best architecture and development best practice
* Presenting to group's architecture review board
* Work closely supporting IT Engineering functions

Enterprise Data Warehouse Solution Architect - Dublin - 75,000 - 85,000 euros

They are looking for experienced data warehouse solution Architects highly experienced in a number of technologies on premise and cloud, this role will sit above highly experienced Engineering teams.



Required Experience:

Designing solutions for data warehouse & data lake projects and programmes working in complex, multi-vendor change delivery organisations.
*

You have a continuous improvement and innovative attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance
*

You have data/data-warehousing knowledge and experience particularly on the Teradata EDW platform or similar technology.
*

You are experienced in modern engineering practices and technologies and Informatica and data architecture.



Responsibilities:

* Accountable for delivering effective solution designs within the Bank's EDW / EDL platforms
* Design end-to-end data warehouse solutions to meet business needs within the context of a broader solution implementation
* Contributor to overall solution planning, providing input into the estimation process as well as highlighting technical risks, issues and assumptions
* Produce required design artefacts. Work with the business and programmes to help refine their data requirements. Present to the Bank's Architecture Review Board when necessary
* Engage with key collaborators in the Group Data Office and across the business and provide support to and engage with non-factory solution architects on change initiatives
* Support the delivery lead to break down the solution so that it can be delivered iteratively in sprints
* Support other engineering functions within data solutions, including mapping, build, test and release

Solution Architect - Up to €110k DOE + 11% Pension, €10k Car Allowance

Dublin-based Organisation - Hybrid (Flexible per individual)

Jefferson Frank is partnered with a large banking organisation in Ireland who are looking for experienced Solutions Architects to join their talented Architecture practice.

The API Factory provides critical API integration and engineering services to support the change programme of initiatives. The factory operates a 'one team' culture delivering through cross-functional squads. Solution architects operate as a shared service provider to the delivery squads in developing solution plans and designing the end-to-end API integration solutions.

In this role, you will:

* Design end-to-end API solutions to meet business needs within the context of a broader solution implementation
* Contributor to overall solution planning, providing input into the factory estimation process as well as highlighting technical risks, issues and assumptions
* Review design artefacts from other API solution architects within the factory team
* Define and derive best practices in the API space, adopting industry best practices and highlighting areas within the API factory that require remediation
* Produce required design artefacts, independently or as part of a team
* Work with the business and programmes to help refine their API requirements
* Present to the Bank`s Architecture Review Board when necessary
* Engage with key stakeholders in the enterprise architect function and across the business

What will make you stand out?

* Highly experienced solution architect in designing solutions for large-scale API integration projects and programmes working in complex, multi-vendor change delivery organisations
* Deep knowledge and experience in REST API design
* Knowledge of SOAP services would be beneficial
* Knowledge of the Mulesoft Anypoint Platform or similar API management platforms
* Financial services experience
* Experience in creation of Swagger or RAML definitions
* Knowledge of API security standards such as mutual authentication and OAuth and OIDC would be beneficial
* Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns would also be beneficial
* Knowledge of WebSphere MQ or Kafka would be beneficial
* Knowledge of AWS integration would be beneficial
