The Position: Our client a FinTech company based in London are currently recruiting for an experienced Data Architect whose responsibility will be to develop, optimize and oversee our company's conceptual and logical data systems.

Whether it be ETL, migrations, pipelines or analysis, you will play a key role in designing the data models, strategy and processes to expand and extend the AFSL data foundations


Responsibilities:

* Evaluate the current state of the company's databases and other data systems and identify new solutions to increase efficiency and performance
* Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams
* Research new technologies, data modelling methods and information management systems to determine which ones should be incorporated into company data architectures
* Work with cross-functional teams to build new data platforms, pipelines and support their data needs
* Expand and deliver a BigData roadmap
* Provide insight and improvement around data governance, resilience and recovery

Skills & Qualifications:

* 3+ years of relevant data architecture experience
* Proficiency working with and designing relational and non-relational data models
* Knowledge of security best practice within AWS
* Architectural experience with an AWS production environment working with data warehousing managed services
* Ability to analyse data flows and provide insight around transformations, data quality and integrity
* Experience with Agile, scrum & cross-functional teams



Preferred but not essential:


* Relevant cloud certification
* Expertise in AWS ETL tools including Glue and Kinesis
* Expertise in analytical/ML tools including Sagemaker, Athena, QuickSight or PowerBI

A small to medium sized Start Up located in the heart of Helsinki is looking for a Cloud Architect to work as a consultant advising on best practices.

This is a unique opportunity that has been presented to Jefferson Frank with the hope of finding a freelancer to work on a short term / ad hoc basis.

If you can commit to 30 to 35 hours a week in the office in Helsinki, if you have the following technologies and experience then get in touch with me ASAP.

* 5 Years Architect experience (AWS or Azure)
* Involvement with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++
* Knowledge of modern databases (Postgres, MySQL, CouchDB, MS SQL, DynamoDB)
* Knowledge of DevOps tools, automation and methodologies used to deploy solutions within a cloud platform (Terraform, Ansible etc.)
* Knowledge of microservices and container-based systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos)

In an ideal world the perfect candidate will be educated to a very high level and have either AWS or Azure certificates.

As mentioned above this is a Freelance position and Finnish speakers are required, there is the chance of working remotely once a level of trust is established with the client.

Data Architect
The Data Architect will be responsible for implementing architecture patterns and designs across our event-based systems including Change Data Capture, Event Streaming and Data Hub

Key responsibilities:

· Responsible for alignment and understanding of project requirements for data management.

· Responsible for maintenance and extension of the conceptual and logical data models, including the party data model and the corresponding domain models supporting customer activities.

· Responsible for establishing patterns for the integration of data from multiple source systems for consolidated views such as the customer 360.

· Responsible for establishing data flow patterns in alignment with Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) supporting events, persistence and distribution.

· Responsible for establishing persistence data stores for reliable system interfaces supporting microservices and miniservice capable of high performant data transfers.

· Responsible for refining datasets based on data rationalization framework to iteratively refine and integrate them based on use cases to facilitate the migration of business processes to the event hub.

· Responsible for refining reproducible integration, performance and growth patterns to support continued development of the data hub.

Experience Required:

- Data management and architecture experience required. Data management systems: Data Lake, Object Stores, and RDMS platforms preferred.

- Experience with data modeling and data architecture (relational and NoSQL) preferred. Modeling strategies and Model Development Tools

- Experience with event driven architectures in an AWS cloud and Kafka (MKS or Confluent) and the pub/sub model supporting services. AWS Cloud Native tools related to a data pipeline such as Lambda, Step Functions, Redshift, or Glue.

Additional Experience:
- Experience with NoSQL systems (document-oriented, party data models and utility industry data models) preferred.

- Experience with all aspects of Data Governance including data quality, security, Metadata and Master Data Management preferred.
- Experience in the patterns related to a CI/CD pipeline for data development and engineering improving release cadence is preferred.

Preferred skills and experience
* Banking experience is preferred but not essential.

* Experience of working with service management teams or an understanding of ITIL principles.

We are searching for a Solution Architect for a household name organisation, to embark on a large programme of work. We have scope for 2-3 years, with interviews for this taking place this week.



Skills:

* 10+ years' experience in Infrastructure Solution Architect role
* Hands-on experience in deploying, configuring and troubleshooting software or networking equipment (like: Guardicore, VMware NSX ) - a must
* In-depth knowledge in four out of the five technologies: Networking, Virtualization, Micro segmentation, Active Directory, Operating System (Win+Lnx) - a must
* Expertise in design of Active Directory, ADFS architecture and Integration of core infrastructure technologies.
* Strong on VMware and On-Premise solutions - a must
* Good knowledge and understanding of Linux architecture & integration with Active Directory
* Hands-on experience with the following is an advantage: Config management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.)
* Identifying and defining system security requirements. Designing computer security architecture and developing detailed cyber security designs
* Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
* Network security experience
* Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an experience of collaborating with a remote/global team
* Work closely with members of Support and Engineering teams to quickly resolve any client issues
* Experience in TOGAF, Agile and DevOps are all advantages with experience in relevant consultancy and/or architecture roles and Experience in Enterprise IT Lifecycle Management
* Knowledge of Telco OSS Platforms
* Work with customer throughout a delivery project life cycle - project management, planning, architecture (including HLD, LLD etc.), deploying and configuring state of the art Segmentation platform
