We are looking for a data analyst to join a growing team in Oslo!

We see many areas of our business that can benefit from data analysis, and are looking for you who have the skills, creativity, and curiosity to help us become more data-driven

As part of a dedicated department consisting of data scientists, analysts, BI professionals, and product/domain specialists, you will be part of an excellent knowledge-sharing culture

You will also work with non-technical colleagues across the business, and should have the ability to communicate your findings in an understandable way

We have large quantities of data for you to tackle to help further develop our products and services, you can also have an impact on the strategic development of the company

We are looking for you to bring some of the following skills/experiences:

* An academic background in statistics, economics, engineering, or similar (or equivalent working experience)
* Professional working experience within data analysis
* Comfortable working with SQL, and experience or understanding of Python/R
* Experience working with data visualisation tools
* It is beneficial if you have worked with predictive modelling

We are looking for a BI Analyst in Oslo!

Joining a growing data & analytics department, you will work closely alongside data engineers to deliver valuable insights to a company in the real-estate industry

With multiple offices across Europe, and a Head Office based in Oslo, you will be tasked with helping to create a centralised reporting hub in Power BI which provides insights across the organisation

With various data sources from property portfolios across Europe, and multiple types of data (operational, customer, transactional) there are plenty of challenges to get in to!

You will work closely with teams across the business to capture their requirements, and translate these into data modelling, and useful insights to allow for more data-driven services and decisions

As part of a smaller team with great flexibility, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skill-set and gain experience in areas that may interest you, such as data science & AI, datawarehouse design, project leadership, cloud, and development

Working closely with stakeholders and developers, you will be tasked with understanding & translating technical requirements

We are looking for you to have:

* Experience with SQL
* A good understanding of visualisation tools, preferably Power BI
* Experience with Azure is beneficial, as is any experience with Python

About the Role

The Data Analyst will take the lead in mining, cleansing, modelling, analysing and visualising data for key stakeholders.The role represents a rare and exciting opportunity to grow alongside one of Scotland's most exciting technology scale-ups. There is a fair degree of fluidity around this role as well as others being recruited into the Data team. Skills needed: Be passionate about the power and value of data.

* Experience of full ownership of a business intelligence solution, preferably Tableau.
* Proficiency in programming languages including SQL and Python.
* Experience of developing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
* Knowledge of best practices for planning, structuring and documentation.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* Familiarity with data regulations, including GDPR and the Data Protection Act (2018)

Skills required:

* Own, manage and automate data pipelines between our data warehouse and business intelligence platform.
* Develop dashboards and reports within the BI that help users to quickly gain an understanding of overall business performance according to key metrics, and follow an intuitive path to drill into the data and perform their own root cause analysis.
* Share your knowledge and expertise with others to help increase data literacy and support a migration towards self-service analytics for routine business questions.
