    Jobbeschreibung

    We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Flutter/Dart experience to join a team building large-scale mobile platform capabilities used by millions of users globally.

    This is not a standard app development role. The focus is on scalable platform engineering, SDK integrations, performance, reliability, and building clean cross-platform architectures that operate at very high scale.

    You'll be working across Flutter, native mobile layers, SDK integrations, and platform tooling in a modern engineering environment with a strong emphasis on quality and long-term maintainability.

    Key experience:

    * Strong commercial experience with Flutter/Dart
    * Experience integrating native mobile functionality across iOS and/or Android
    * Exposure to SDK development or SDK integrations
    * Understanding of scalable mobile architectures and performance optimisation
    * Experience with build/release tooling such as Gradle, Xcode, CI/CD pipelines etc.
    * Any exposure to C++, native runtimes, or lower-level platform engineering is highly beneficial

    Nice to have:

    * Experience within high-scale consumer product environments
    * Cross-platform/mobile platform engineering background
    * Experience working in complex multi-language systems

    This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving engineering problems beyond just UI development and wants to work on highly scaled mobile platform challenges.

    Data Platform Engineer

    • Negotiable
    • Engineer Stelle
    • Fähigkeiten: Azure Databricks, DBT, Python, SQL, Hands-on Platform experience
    • Seniority: Mid-level

    Jobbeschreibung

    The Role

    We are hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help build and scale a cloud-based data platform in a highly regulated environment.

    The organisation is partway through its migration to Azure, with production workloads already in place. The focus now is not strategy or architecture it's execution: building reliable, production-grade data platforms that will underpin future data and AI capabilities.

    This role is for engineers who have actually built platforms within azure databricks, not just contributed to them or designed them at a high level.

    You will be working in a low-risk environment, where data security, governance, and cost control are critical. The expectation is that you can deliver within those constraints, not work around them.

    Responsibilities

    * Building and operating Azure Databricks-based data platforms used in production
    * Developing end-to-end data pipelines using Python and SQL
    * Configuring and optimising Databricks environments, including:

    * Cluster setup, tuning, and troubleshooting
    * Job orchestration and scheduling
    * Managing performance vs cost trade-offs

    * Implementing data transformation and modelling workflows (dbt or similar)
    * Owning platform components from initial build through to production support
    * Ensuring data platforms meet strict security, governance, and risk requirements
    * Contributing to ongoing cloud migration and platform modernisation work

    Required Experience

    * Strong, hands-on experience building Azure Databricks data platforms from scratch
    * Proven track record delivering and supporting production-grade data pipelines
    * Solid experience with:

    * Azure
    * Azure Databricks
    * Python
    * SQL

    * Experience working with data at scale (not just small or isolated datasets)
    * Background in regulated or enterprise environments with governance constraints
    * Comfortable working in cost-sensitive environments where efficiency matters

    Nice to Have

    * Hands-on experience with dbt in production
    * Experience in financial services or similar regulated industries
    * Exposure to cloud migration programmes
    * Experience optimising Databricks for performance and cost

    Why This Role

    * Opportunity to build real, production data platforms, not just prototypes
    * Direct impact on a platform that will enable future AI and data capabilities
    * Work in an environment where engineering quality, security, and reliability actually matter
    * Join a team that values delivery over theory

    * Strong experience using Jira or similar agile delivery tools
    * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical teams and senior stakeholders

    Desirable Skills

    * AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
    * Agile or project certifications (CSM, CSP, PMP)
    * Previous experience as a Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer

    Additional Information

    * Contract length: 3 months
    * Day rate: £575 per day (Inside IR35)
    * Location: London, with on-site attendance required for important meetings and workshops

    Technical Development Manager - London - £120k

    The Opportunity

    A fast‑growing London Market insurance and reinsurance broker is seeking a senior Development Manager / Technology Delivery Lead to play a central role in how technology is used to transform complex, large‑scale broking.

    The business specialises in high‑value, complex risks across areas such as aviation, property/casualty and reinsurance. Technology is not a support function here - it is core to competitive advantage. This role sits at the heart of that ambition.

    The business now needs someone tech‑agnostic, commercially minded, and comfortable leading multiple streams of technical delivery in an environment that is increasingly shaped by AI and emerging technologies.

    The Role

    You'll operate at Development Manager level, owning delivery across a mixed internal and external engineering landscape. Your remit will span Salesforce teams, data and integration work, and newer AI‑driven initiatives - ensuring consistent quality, pace and alignment with business priorities.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Leading and coordinating internal and third‑party development teams across multiple platforms
    * Owning end‑to‑end delivery of technology initiatives, from concept through to production
    * Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
    * Driving modern engineering practices, tooling and ways of working
    * Supporting the evolution of AI‑enabled development approaches across the organisation
    * Ensuring systems remain scalable, secure and fit for a highly regulated insurance environment

    This is not a "Head of Data" or purely architectural role - it is hands‑on leadership, delivery ownership, and problem‑solving at pace.

    What We're Looking For

    You'll be someone who thrives in high‑standards, growth‑oriented environments and is motivated by using technology to genuinely change how a business operates.

    Experience & background:

    * Proven experience as a Development Manager, Technology Manager, Head of Systems, or similar
    * Strong background in insurance or financial services (London Market experience is a plus)
    * Experience managing both internal engineers and external delivery partners
    * Tech‑agnostic mindset, with the ability to assess and apply the right tools for the job

    Technical & emerging tech exposure:

    * Cloud experience, with GCP strongly preferred
    * Salesforce experience is beneficial, but not essential
    * Exposure toAI‑enabled development workflows, such as:

    * Prompt engineering
    * AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g. Claude or similar)
    * "Vibe coding" / rapid prototyping approaches

    Personal attributes:

    * Commercially aware and delivery‑focused
    * Comfortable working in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments
    * High standards, high integrity, and strong cultural alignment
    * Confident influencing at senior stakeholder level

    Why Apply?

    * A genuine opportunity to shape how technology is used within the London Market
    * Significant autonomy and influence in a business that backs innovation
    * Exposure to cutting‑edge AI initiatives alongside core enterprise platforms
    * Competitive senior‑level compensation and bonus structure
    * A collaborative, ambitious culture that expects excellence
