What You'll Be Doing:

-Owning and evolving large-scale Kubernetes clusters in an on-premises environment.

Data Platform Engineer / Architect - Remote Contract

We're working with a client who is building their data platform from scratch and looking for an experienced Data Platform Engineer or Architect to help shape and deliver it.

This is a genuine greenfield opportunity. There's no existing data infrastructure to work around - the team has made a clear technology decision and needs someone to run with it. The architecture is built around a data products approach, with Snowflake running on GCP as the core platform and dbt handling internal data transformation.



What you'll be doing

You'll be the lead voice on platform design and implementation - standing up the Snowflake environment on GCP, defining the architecture for how data products are structured and served, and building the foundations that the wider data engineering work will sit on top of.



What we're looking for

* Strong Snowflake expertise - architecture, configuration, access control, performance
* Comfortable working within GCP (networking, IAM, GCS for staging)

Whilst this role requires someone who comes from a Data Engineering background, this is a hands off role where you will be a people manager. You will be managing the core Data team but also looking after 2 other streams of work within PowerApps and Sharepoint. You will be required to provide mentorship as well as helping to drive the data strategy within the organisation.

This role is paying up to £120k as a base salary. You will get up to 10% bonus (Discretionary) as well as a range of other great benefits. You'll be working across Flutter, native mobile layers, SDK integrations, and platform tooling in a modern engineering environment with a strong emphasis on quality and long-term maintainability.

They are currently supporting a major consultancy engagement and are looking for an experienced Data Platform Agile Delivery Lead to join a high-profile delivery for a government organisation.

This role combines hands-on agile delivery leadership with strategic planning and stakeholder management, supporting a large-scale AWS DevOps platform team within a complex, regulated environment.

Role Summary

You will lead a 15-person AWS DevOps Platform team, split across three delivery pods, guiding the successful delivery of a critical data and cloud platform. Acting as both Scrum Master and delivery lead, you will ensure strong agile execution while maintaining oversight of dependencies, risks, and roadmap delivery.
