Senior Backend Engineer - Fully Remote

Summary:

One of my clients, an AWS Partner, is looking to bring on a Senior Backend Engineer for a full-time, fully remote position. This person will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining APIs, services and their systems for their main application. They will also maintain and improve their data pipelines and help improve their overall engineering processes. This is a very hands-on position involving heavy coding and collaboration with other engineers.

Ideal Qualifications:



- 5-8+ years of experience building APIs and complex backend systems in the cloud

- Extensive experience/knowledge of the AWS cloud and many of it's services

- Extensive Python coding experience, required.

- Experience managing and maintaining data at scale

- Excellent verbal and written communication



- Must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or have a TN Visa

The Role

They are looking for a Cloud Developer who can come in and:

* Take design specifications for a front-end page or backend API and drive implementation to that spec
* Write tests as part of implementation
* Identify and escalate possible issues in the designs
* Interface with other teams to build new features and manage/coordinate releases.
* Participate in weekly scrum ceremonies to refine the implementation plans for upcoming bodies of work.
